the MM is the market maker anon, it's the group/person that's providing liquidity and making sure the price doesn't get too volatile by filling in order book price gaps as needed but a lot of investors have been buying and sending tokens to cold storage or to their hot wallets and out of exchanges, which means exchanges have been bleeding rsr over the last year+ and so there's a bit of a shortage of liquidity. that's why they took out 2b tokens to make sure this doesn't happen for the coming coinbase listing but coinbase listing will create much more hype than expected since it will start to legitimize all the speculations and then you get all the U.S retail investors realizing that this is a peter thiel backed project and the price will skyrocket way harder than expected. this is literally the paypal of crypto and all the fudders know it which is why they constantly attack the backers and VC investors.
