60 IQ statement if I've ever heard one.

State ran banks have been successful throughout history until sabotaged by international interests.

it's the same story over and over again. Rome and Caesar, England and King Henry, Napoleon and France, Russia and Tsar Alexander I, Germany and Hitler, Lybia and Gaddafi, Japan and the Ministry of Finance; hell most of America's definitive history involved a fight for control of their money supply. The banning of colonial script and the resulting poverty of switching to a Central Bank of England standard is what caused the American Revolution. President Jackson's most famous exploit was removing America's privately owned central bank. President Lincoln was assassinated after funding a the civil war, fueled by greenbacks as opposed to borrowing from central banking institutions. President Kennedy was assassinated after issuing silver backed dollars as opposed to relying on the Federal Reserve.

tl;dr you know fuck all about central banking

Learn how to read dumb ass. Jefferson's statement implies the state should be able to issue money, like they did in the colonies. My statement implies that's even worse than the banks issuing their own private bank notes because the government can force people to accept their notes, unlike actually private banks. Jackson's closing of the second national bank put the United states under the monetary system I am suggesting is better than a state control of note emissions you idiot.

> The context of the time was the US dollar was being issued by a private entity
No it wasn't. The US dollar was an amount of silver/gold which was held in reserves somewhere. The private banks then issued their own notes which were (nominally) redeemable in specie. There was no "issuer" of US dollars, because the "US Dollar" wasn't an actual thing. They issued money substitutes, not money which is an essential point. Private banks couldn't create US dollars after the SBUS expired, they could issue claims on their banks. The amount of bank notes they printed had nothing to do with the amount of US dollars in circulation, it created a mismatch between the actual book value of each private bank's notes and the market value of each private bank note, which was corrected during bank runs, which checked the amount of credit expansion that was possible, unlike governments printing money, which you are implying is better than private banks issuing notes.

In the case of Gold Eagles, it’s due to the trace elements of other metals in the alloy used to make the gold blanks. They use a little bit of copper (to strengthen it) and silver (to add to the its brilliance). The AGEs end up being .999 pure

In the case of Gold Buffalos, they’re struck in pure 24k gold blanks. They have a purity of .9999 as opposed to the AGEs so you’re technically getting more gold per ounce with the Buffalos but don’t ever try to fondle Buffalos due to the malleability of pure gold.

One thing to ponder on during a stock market deflation would be whether or not to sell part of the stack and buy stonks on sale, or buy back the bullion when stonks start inflating again. Because any crash might lead to the big debt bubble bursting, which would bring about depression and if the gov handles it well, it will lead into huge currency inflation, at which point I would regret liquidating any of my metals.

Food for thought.

Awesome! You'd be able to get bullion returned from a refinery at less than 20/oz total which is my rule of thumb right now. It takes work but you're succeeding and certainly gaining valuable experience and knowledge which will make you a better hunter/picker each time you go out.

You may hear people crowing about awesome deals (like me and my 926 gram asw $4 platter from Goodwill) but they take plenty of legwork and unremarkable deals in-between that you don't hear so much about. Keep hunting and you'll eventually find a monster score or 2 that truly feels like stumbling on treasure, it's just a matter of odds, stupid good deals are rare but I absolutely guarantee that they're out there. Good luck!

in this clown world manipulated markets you cant judge or estimate what's going to happen or when, based upon any sense of "normal" metrics

anything could go in any direction at any moment

i feel iot could go down some still but not counting on it. i dont feel this is a bad time to buy, but who knows.

Just always remember, when and if you go to sell bullion, you'll be lucky to get full spot price for it. nothing to worry or cry over, but just be aware, we have to pay premiums when we buy, but we dont get paid any premium when we sell

>> No.23037436

Nobody knows for sure whether the spot price will go up or down but there is speculation for both cases. I personally think spot will go down now that stimulus is being added again soon but I might be wrong. In any case, it's possible that bullion coin dealers won't be offering any better prices even if spot goes down. The best time to buy PMs is now because it's a long term hedge investment -- you don't buy physical metal hoping for a huge profit, you invest hoping to guard against economic crises, and nobody knows when the next big one comes crashing the whole thing.

I say allocate with time: buy a certain amount every month if you want to be sure

I mostly just lurk here.

Stocks will keep being inflated, at least until Trump secured his election, it's a big part of his speeches, and every chance he gets he mentions that the stock market is doing well.

Stimulus will further inflate the stock market, same as before. After a while people will see that the second wave of lockdowns has ass raped the economy more than the first one and that the stocks they've been investing in have a PE ratio of well over 1000. Zoomers and beginners will wonder why they got rug pulled and that's when you want to be in PMs and phyical assets.

Long term mega bullish on PMs and physical assets. Short term still bullish on stocks, although could get volatile before the election.

I will let basically anyone pan or work my claims so long as they don't leave garbage everywhere and fill in their holes when their done. Also no obvious illegal shit like dredging without me around. The amount of gold they find is tiny to what I am after.

One pays meme premiums for little meme units like that, so while Canadian MapleGrams are nifty silver provides even more functionality at lower cost. I'd stick with 1/10oz and larger units.

1/10oz coins & 5 grams gold are really the smallest you should ever buy if you're really poor and can't afford more gold but still want to own some and even then you're getting fucked. Seriously, just save up to buy 1/4oz at the minimum.

Hi anon, numisfag here. The coin you posted is a detail coin- damage/cleaning will cause that valuation. Depending on the dealer and your knowledge base you can call them on it, but depending on their market base they may not give a shit. In person buying is always better for this reason. Being a bullion coin it doesn't matter as much but if you paid a large premium for it I'd definitely complain.
