Hello xETH holders.
I'm glad that I woke up to see the price sitting at $9, along with the rebase increasing my stack by 16% or so. I would have been up x4 if I was able to sell, but even without selling the compounding rebases makes holding worth. In a matter of days, even if the price goes back down to $5, I'll be at least x2 on my initial investment since 12 days ago now.
However, while the price is nicely pumping, it has now become more important than ever for liquidity and incentives to provide it to both manifest as I feel the wild price swings WILL turn this into a PnD and it might impede on the long term approach the team and community are wishing for.

I just saw, this may be very interesting indeed. I admittedly don't know that much about COM, other than it helped with launching xETH and auditing the contract. Still, I don't really know them so I can't ascertain if it's a legitimate entity or not. In my mind and hopefully yours, xETH's code remains unaudited.

At any rate, I'm glad with how green the future seems to be for this token. I really hope that /biz/ won't miss out on this one.

Well not really seeing as these threads usually die fast or go unnoticed if I don't bump them. Lately it's gotten a little more lively due to the token knowing higher lows and higher highs every day, which is nice. But not really sustainable with the massive 16% rebases so I hope that more liquidity is available soon or unironically a retrace back to $7 to ease the FOMO.
>>22983769
I agree. Even after the burn I think they hold too much. But at least they showed it to be possible, and doable again in the future if need be. From a schizo perspective, it could also be a strategic move to create more confidence in the short term to massively dump at a later point. The first wallet remains unlocked, and a dump can still occur at any time. The team is still anonymous. We don't have a Github and the code is not audited. The token relies on buy pressure to maintain greed in order to convince people not to immediately sell their rebases, as the deflationary mechanics in place aren't really that convincing to prevent sellers except for little stacks.

Actually the risks outweigh the potential profit now.

Well you basically sold your rebase, if we take into account the 5% slippage. Any profit taken is better than what I'm currently doing, cumming on my increasing stack and its potential value while leaving it to fluctuate.
Selling "too early" as long as it's a profit is a failed concept in my opinion, no matter the opportunity cost. Call me a pussy but I'd rather call it "securing profits"

I won't try to convince and tell you, since you've seen the previous threads already. You should know what the token is about, both the pros and cons. Right now, I think that the cons slightly override the pros seeing as the price keeps pumping along with the volume, indicating that a retrace might come soon. People are starting to get unreasonably bullish on TG, saying that $15 in a few hours might be possible. But I'm not a good market analyst.
Besides, LINK is here to stay and despite nolinkers and fudders having a field day with how the price behaved lately, I believe holding to better than attempting to swing it.

However. The current rebase percentage is around 16% today, so if you bought now, even if the price falls down to let's say $8 after people taking profits, you wouldn't lose much. Tomorrow's rebase would be around 9% at its lowest seeing as there is more and more hype for the token, despite the coming retrace. The choice is yours, anon.

to see that devs delivered with the burn event. But yes, they still hold quite a large part of the supply and with the massive rebases coming, it's likely they'll go back to owning a similar quantity in no time. But as I've said before, nothing can stop them from doing it again if pressured by the community.
>Write a shitty whitepaper that no one reads,
Is there even a whitepaper? There's a FAQ at best, a medium article and no Github. At any rate, I read whatever was available to explain how the token worked and many other people must have too.
>get some burning/staking/ampleforth shit in there, write a smartcontract > millionaire?
I agree with you on that part. The token remains essentially useless, but all it took was a little dishonest marketing to turn this into a hedge against ETH/savings account with great daily returns. Throw in gimmicks terms like "dynamic deflationary system" and you obtain the current situation. I made sure to tell every single time that there was no inherent utility or value in xETH other than what people are ready to give it.

I'm under a massive survivorship bias since I bought on September 21 and my stack grew 1.5 in size, along with the price going x2. Even people who bought after I made the first thread on September 28 or 29 are between 30-50% up, if not more. I don't know in what state the market is due to the Trump covid announcement, but I'm ready to bet they must be quite happy with their investment since.

Here's why I think coming in today rather than tomorrow might be a good opportunity :
>Nice daily compounding interest thanks to rebases, so even if the price falls below your entry point, you'll break even and/or make a profit given a few days of patience
>Volume and holders are increasing every day
>LP-Staking coming soon, that will help reduce the volatility and stabilize the price, so more chances of crabbing and getting consistent rebases without fears of panic selling tanking the token
>Team and community want to make this last, dev burned 70% of their funds in good faith and team reimbursed someone who got his PC hacked
>Gets to enjoy these threads (you can do that without buying)

WHY YOU SHOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING IN :
>xETH HAS NO REAL USECASE
>low liquidity, wild price swings (for now™)
>currently the sentiment is a little too bullish for my tastes, people in TG are getting excited and I believe it's FOMO kicking in which isn't good for the long term growth of the token
>Team is anonymous despite all they did, so if they exit scam they can't be held accountable
