>Buy prices?

I'd be comfy spending ~$35 total shipped for a 6" by 6" pedestal compote.

If I see salt and pepper shaker sets for under 15 shipped I'll buy ASAP unless they are the goofy mini shakers or Duchin Creations or Empire brand foil-gauge crap with internal glass bottles that the caps actually screw on to (allows them to use really thin silver).

I buy many sugar and creamer sets if they are under 50 total and never turn down a set for under 40 total.

A very good option if you like using tools is splitting (or melting) off the sterling dinner knife (and other implement) handles. Full size dinner knives yield about 20 grams each on average and many people don't know or want to bother with them so you can pick them up all day via BIN as well as normal auctions at worthwhile prices. I really like them as a source because there are lots of knives out there and I run against minimal competition for them. Takes more work to extract but that's probably why you can get them affordably so easily compared with other sterling scrap.

Right now, basically any sterling that costs ~0.50/gram or less I buy instantly, however beware of jewelry scrap batches as stones and misidentified/unmarked junk metal eat into yields and it's obnoxiously fiddly and lightweight stuff to deal with even if everything turns out legit. Trust me just avoid jewelry batches unless you're absolutely certain it's a great deal, not worth the headache otherwise.

One can do it different ways I'm sure but the refining fee is taken out of the silver, so ~8-12% of the silver depending on batch size but no other costs as I deal in person at the refinery. This is why I try to keep my buy prices low enough that I can "pay" them and still get impressively below spot ingots returned.

That's what deflation does. There will be fire sales on assets at some point before Congress gets the balls to go really BIG with stimulus. The cash value of homes, for instance, is much lower than the loan value. So if loans are not growing, then prices will stagnate. If supply increases due to high unemployment and defaults, prices will drop. If lending doesn't keep pace with this new supply, prices will drop. It's hard to think that we won't see deflation before big inflation. It will take seeing the deflation and the pain in causes as debt is destroyed that will give Congress the ability to do the real damage.

Why do you guys stack precious metals? I have a bit mainly because I think having actual physical treasure is cool, but its only like 5% of my portfolio. The roi seems really meager compared to pretty much everything else. Do you do it because you think the economy is going to collapse or there will be hyper inflation and only shiny metal will be valuable? To me it seems like too much of hedging your bets to put a huge amount of my money into precious metals, especially since it doesn't seem very easy to sell. If you don't find a buyer on your own willing to buy at spot or above then you'll lose a huge chunk of value by selling to a bullion dealer at below spot.

I'm pretty sure that old ammo or even the new stuff can last decades if its cracked properly.

I realize many 9mm and hand gun ammo can go bad and should be rotated, but a lot of ammo as far back as the Korean or Vietnam war is still usable so far as you clean your rifle properly given the old ammo is acidic.

ok so an interesting bit you should know about this companies flag ship property is that its being optioned from Vanstar to the company IamGold which currently holds a major stake in the property and can buy into it up to 80% if they pay for a feasibly study and major on site exploration work. If this deal does not go through than VanStar regains the ground but would be fined through the agreement. Keep that in mind when looking at these sorts of deals, if they fail, its very expensive and often results in court battles.
Interesting property though, it would be simple to open pit mine this ore and its close to major infrastructure. A mine in waiting for sure.

Silver Proof sets will give you one of everything, plus a penny and a Nickel, but they usually have a high premium and they'll lose all numismatic value if you take them out of the packaging. Same goes for Silver uncirculated sets from the 50s and 60s. You could get prestige sets from the 90s which have all the Silver proofs plus a Commemorative Silver dollar, but those have an even higher premium and are difficult to store. You'd be best off buying the coins indicidually at your LCS and buying the materials to make a set online.

Women are bad at estimating dick size. Plus, they're not literal creatures, they're not thinking about the mechanics a 10-inch wang bottoming out. It's just a proxy for wanting Chadliness or thinking a guy is a Chad.

A dick is huge if they like the guy it's attached to, and tiny if they don't. All relative.
