Any day trader from America here?
I am from India and our online broker is Zerodha.com and many other, but it is most popular.

A lot of tickers are blocked from intraday trading for "Zerodha Risk managment system flagging" or in some other words, those tickers are in illiquid state. Fine.

Does Robinhood, Fidelity, Ameritrade also block ticker which "their" Risk Management system thinks is risky?

How does it affect the High Frequency Trading? I assume they register themselves as "Broker" with SEC. So they don't have any restriction of Risk management system as they can bet anytime and anything. Or, does the NYSE, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, themselves restricts HFT broker from trading some ticker.

That's what you get for listening to visitors for reddit. I have autism and will scan and read every /smg/ thread and catch up on the ones I missed. Out of nowhere fags were saying SSSS and PLTR for over a week without any context or anything. There was no case laid out as with KTOV or GME. There was nothing. It wasn't organic and it originated from reddit. The back and forth on these shit sticks was also non-chan lingo. Reddit visitors, likely using discord.

Looks like the "Clearing house", or the "Depository" need to manage such things as "liquidity of assets".
Zerodha.com is both a broker and a clearing house.

Robinhood, imo, is also a broker and a clearing house but it has allegiance with finra and sipc which might have regulation regarding liquidity of securities.
Provided such RMS exists, the most frustrating thing about day trader is they don't have betting freedom as much as HFT or algo trader. Day trader are lowest class of trader. Imagine going to Monte Carlo and you are only allowed to bet on 2-10 on Roulette.
Again the Broker can itself put their own RMS and say you can only bet on 5-10.

Okay gents. Update on SSSS.

Their assumed low level recession-recession level liquidation puts their company at about $493,092,197.60 in assets. Their total liabilities equates to $130,940,000. This gives us a company valuation (not including cash flows) of $362,152,197.60. Divided by the shares outstanding, this is about $22.11 per share.

That is our base valuation. Now, the company has had an average of $4,968,338.81 of net income over the past 5 years. Only 1 down year. Divide that by the number of shares and that's a presumed EPS of $0.30 YoY, pending the average continues.

Add that into the fact that you have a 5.54% dividend, assuming the market does eventually value the company correctly, and the company continues in it's path, that gives us 8.31% positive cash flow with dividends and assumed EPS, and a 103.97% gain if the market properly prices it in (they usually overshoot).

This gives us a grand total of 112.28% gain for just share buy in.

Say I buy a $10 call for 100 shares saying the stock will go up to $7.50 by Oct 15. The price of the stock is was $5 at the time. Am I supposed to exercise the contract once the price of each stock hits $7.50? Does this mean I have to buy 100 shares at 7.50 for $750 dollars? Or do I have other options. Heh, get it options.

Your question doesn't make sense.
You buy a call with a specific expiration date and specific strike price.
If you execute the call, you must pay 100 multiplied by the strike price.
If you just want to turn a profit or prevent a loss, just sell the option to someone else.
If you hold it to expiry date, if it is "in the money" (the share price is $0.01 or greater than the strike price at close) then the option will automatically execute and you will have to pay 100 multiplied by the strike price. Otherwise it expires worthless.

My suggestion:
Don't trade options until you know what you are talking about.

>> No.22953505

An option is made up of a strike price, expiration date, market value, and number of shares (usually 100). The dollar amt it's stated as is the strike price.

This means, if a stock price is 5 dollars, but I think the price will exceed that, I will buy an out of the money call (a call above 5 dollars) to avoid the ITM (in the money) premium. So say for example I buy a $6 call (which is the strike price), and I think the market will shoot the price up to $10.

So I would now have 1x100 sh contract and the time frame (expiration date) with which the option will expire. The strike price is $6, so any thing above that is ITM. So say for example the company shares do hit $10, I can do a covered call (buy 100 shares, exercise option, then sell the shares at a profit of $4 per share x 100 - the option price), or I can do a naked option, which is just sell the option itself. The latter is riskier, yet the prior presents a loss mitigation opportunity. The latter also generally provides more outright profit than the prior.

>Say I buy a $10 call for 100 shares saying the stock will go up to $7.50 by Oct 15. The price of the stock is was $5 at the time
You paid $0.10 per share for the call. Thus your "break even" point is actually $7.50 (strike) + $0.10 (premium) = $7.60. If it just reaches $7.50 by your expiry than you would have been better off just buying the shares outright.
>Does this mean I have to buy 100 shares at 7.50 for $750 dollars?
Yes
>Am I supposed to exercise the contract once the price of each stock hits $7.50?
No, it is only worth it if the current stock price is $7.60 because of the premium you paid.
All options contracts contain intrinsic value (the right to exercise by a certain time) and an extrinsic value (strikes, current price, etc.). The first is ALWAYS decreasing over time and is also a function of how volatile (swingy) the underlying is. The more volatile a stock is the more people want to purchase puts or calls, this drives up demand for the options contract, and drives up the price of the contract.
I'll stop here because options is really all or nothing. And you really need to understand "the greeks" if you are buying them. And you have to bang your head against a wall to understand it.
Here's a spoiler: Options buyers are almost always the losers because they are trying to predict the future.

yeah passed on that one after I saw the blatant trolling on stock twits
this shit is propped up by dumb MAGA z/boomers + the usual Melon bros who dont know anything about the company other than muh based paypal mafia meme
remember this hot potato was internally trading at $5-7 in july at much lower float
P/E at current valuation is 125x
P/S 20x
this is a really expensive stock which has the growth story already priced in, but non of the volatility of the tricky business model
the cnbc troll article about insiders having problems selling stock was just the first taste of whats to come

Also; not against the shilling like with shitcoins, i bought into gme at $8 and have made some nice profit already due to the shills.

market too big and too fast, in the stock mkt if a bagholder has a sell order at a certain price it will get filled and the pump may reverse etc. + sec, exchanges can pull a halt and freeze your money (it happens, look at Luckin) so its much harder to pull of then with shitcoins

The eternal third rail of the boomers is you don't touch their real estate values. They squandered their money every which way they could while alive, but they printed away much of their debt and hold wealth in their homes and their homes alone.
You are going to see one hell of a gigantic middle finger to future generations if they need to save boomers and their shitty real estate valuations.

That includes world markets. In fact, most of the large American firms are already international - KO, MCD, AAPL, etc. - including in both consumer markets and supply chains.

Think of this, you are paying $110 to get back $1 in earnings. This is what PE means and is why it is a one of the most broadly used indicator and metric, to compare stocks in the same sector and overall. Also for valuations and if you’re willing to invest X amount for $1 of current earnings. Being it’s tech it isn’t absurdly valued like you said but is high if they don’t have a solid demand and growth.
