You can't time the markets. It COULD take a shit overnight. It also COULD moon out of fucking nowhere off unexpected turns of events. The point is that you'll average the bad days out with the good days because the stocks are consistently going up. You could successfully get the "best deal" every now and then, but you'll also fuck yourself out of good deals too by trying to find things. Either way you're just playing a game of chance and the outcome will be the same.

You minimize your risks this way. Going all in on a good day has big payoff, but all in on a bad day obviously has shit results. So it's best to just average in because the good days should outweigh the and days and you'll eventually cover the times you fucked up.

You don't have a crystal ball, so you can't tell if tomorrow will be red or green. Nobody can. You're going to guess wrong some days and right others, so trying to time things is silly in the long run. You're too focused on short term; long term you are just adding stress and risk for almost the same outcome.
