Can anyone give me a QRD on taxes as far as swing trading goes? As I understand it, you're taxed every time you sell. So for example, if there's a stock at $10, I sell. I am taxed on this sell. I buy back in at $8. Stock goes to $15, I sell. Am I taxed again?if so, swing trading seems like minimal profit at best. If I'm taxed 1/3 of every dollar, that's nearly all the profit in of itself.

holy shit indicators really are a meme. price action and volume (although idk how the fuck to use volume) aren't though. anyone here know how i can make this sort of shit better with volume somehow? i assume i just use an EMA 50 on volume itself but then what do i do with this information?

currently im just looking for the first reversal bar on the 1m at a s/r point, like it goes red down to support and then the first green bar i buy and put my stop loss 2 cents below the low. part of me wonders if it'd be better to just anticipate it as well and buy a cent or two above the resistance level, and keep a really tight stop loss so my risk:reward would be insane whenever it works.
