Market cap is only meaningful in a broader context including volume and depth but also velocity and liquidity. The nature of the Chainlink network is that there are constant competitive incentives between nodes to locks more and more tokens away, constantly reducing the supply.
So by the time LINK is in the 10s of thousands of dollars it will be because the vast majority of the total supply is not for sale, and the only ones that are left are being sold for an immense sum. The fact that this will give Chainlink an "unrealistic" market cap is no different to the example I gave above. Market cap doesn't mean shit on its own without wider consideration of how many tokens are actually for sale and the incentive structures around holding, staking or selling those tokens.

Price doesn't matter when you're never selling. $81k depends on best case scenario. I'm all in link and believe it's going to be the most valuable asset in the world in several years' time. That being said, it can still be the most valuable asset due to returns from staking and exclusivity of it, meaning in several years it will be difficult for most people outside of enterprise to buy one whole link. That doesn't mean it's $81k apiece though. It could be 30 years until that point, or it could be 3. You don't buy link to get rich quick. You buy link to become the financial elite. Think of the anon from however long ago that compared it to buying land with lots of oil before cars were invented. Generational wealth takes time to grow no matter what asset.
