Bros I just realized... this paradigm about "bulls" and "bears" doesn't apply to this year. It's not a bull market economy or a bear market. It's a fucking Christmas Lights market. Every day is the next light bulb on the string. And a big Jewish Santa is using them as anal beads while we suffer.

So I’ve been trading nearly a month now. Finally convinced my wife to let me invest our savings as we save for a house (around 11k). I took about $6,000 and went all in on CLF after learning they pull in $2b a quarter. Not even 3 days later and I’m down $1000. I quickly pull out and decide to invest in a safer mainstream company. That fucking company was WKHS on the advice of a few anons. I am down around $1300 again. My question is there any legal recourse I can take against WKHS for not warning shareholders of a massive dip. When CLF shit the bed I had atleast 4 different law firms email me about a class action against CLF. I signed up but all I keep getting are ads for stock market related tax prep.

Because by drawing lines, you are effectively using the (near) past to project (not predict) current trends. You are looking for the possibility of trend breaks (as observed here). If you were to re-calibrate to put the line under the new low, it would no longer fit because the lows and highs would no longer rest on the line as they did before. Finally, it can be bullish or bearish depending on the timeframe: this is not a contradiction. For example, see the sea-saw motions on the channel? If you drew your memelines at a closer, instead of further, interval, you'd see rising and falling trends (bullish, bearish) at higher frequency, whereas the longer-term trend was wholly bullish. If you trade the high freq, you make more trades worth less. If you trade the higher freq, you make fewer trades worth more. Eitherway there is no contradiction.

Buy low on Nikola. They'll bounce back. They're in talks with some bigger companies to work on hydrogen refueling stations. People are panic selling. Do not be a sheep. Their stock will rise again you just need to wait out the storm as usual. It just got a new chairman who is a former GM employee so they really like that new guy so will continue to work with Nikola since their own guy is righting the ship now. Plus BP is working on making some hydrogen refueling stations with them. Things are going to go up for Nikola in the future. EV is the future and they'll be a major player in it. Tesla, Nikola, Nio, and Li Auto are the 4 EV companies you should be keeping your eye on. 2 for USA market, 2 for the massive Chinese market. If you're a long term investor I highly recommend getting into at least 2 if not all 4 of these EV companies. They'll explode within the next few years.

Oh kek forgot about that rule. Just wish i could jump in before it even pumps in the first place. Eg i would be afraid of dumping 10k on SPI when was 1.50. At 3.50ish id only risk up to 2k only to not actually do it and get btfod hard. I was so close i couldve made 20k on spi

I assume you are a leaf. Which means your broker gets commission on sales... if they don't have stops do they want you to bag hold until your portfolio is so worthless that its not worth the commission to sell?
I hold a few stocks that are now so worthless that it would cost me money to sell just due to commission. I cannot fathom why the bank would want you to do less trading by removing essential functions.

Who you with?

You're failing to anticipate the fact that there's a probability that historical facts aren't evidence of rare events. No evidence of plateau is not evidence of no plateau. If you pick individual stocks, there's adequate evidence that they can take years to recover from a crash, my favorite being Microsoft. 16 years to recover the top from the Dotcom crash.

You're taking a relatively short history and projecting it into the future, but there simply aren't data points for this sort of evolution taking place due to its rarity. I suppose the Nikkei is a decent example.

There's other features as well.

He argued that Carnival's CEO had announced that even if coronavirus went all the way through 2020 they would have enough cash & be fine
However.. it's looking like it's going to go past 2020, and it's looking like even if coronavirus were to disappear overnight, the economic damage will be lasting & prevent spare income to be used on cruises..

It seems unlikely to me that all cruises will go 'extinct' - but I do think that we might see some bankruptcies/mergers over the next year or two..

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/jpmorgan-pay-record-1-billion-settlement-over-precious-metals-treasury-manipulation

For any anons who have been closely following silver / trading options on silver, you NEED to read this article.
Essentially, JPM settled for $1 billion that they were manipulating silver; the settlement was just reached.
They were on their best behavior while the investigation was ongoing; it was definitely starting to wrap up over this past week (to be announced today)
Monday their traders resumed their activities.

We are going to see SUPER red days for silver ahead, possibly as low as $18
Long-term, this is unsustainable, and will result in a COMEX default (regardless of new Chinese refineries)
Expect silver to tank probably until the end of November..

Good luck anons!

You don't understand. Look at the # of contracts that are standing for delivery / open interest for December
We are in an era of >2% inflation, with negative real yields
The COMEX was forced in September to basically DOUBLE their # of approved refineries (historically, even adding 1 refinery was a huge deal) They also added ~20 Chinese refineries (which is ridiculous / a serious act of desperation, as everyone knows Chinese gold & silver can't be trusted / is riddled with fake tungsten - look it up)

COMEX is not going to be able to handle it / people WILL stand for delivery if it's such a bargain

Fun fact, the only pigment in human eyes is melanin. Any other colors are because of light refracting off the structure of the iris (structural color).
This means in people with light colored eyes the iris can appear to change color based on lighting conditions and dilation, which means your emotions can affect your eye color via dilation and posture differences changing the light exposure of your iris.

1 - inflation IS skyrocketing, it's just bullshit Fed cherrypicking/'gerrymandering' inflation metrics so that it doesn't show the average American getting crushed
2 - I agree with you that in this short-run, it's not happening because banks aren't lending (even after the QE measures increasing reserves); the Fed's average inflation targeting is going to go for YEARS (you need to be thinking long-run inflation)
