lightning is working great for small tx (up to 0.16 BTC, 2k usd)
and the main advantage is that you can use the same address to make both L1 and L2 transactions without switching back and forth.
taproot finally fixed centralization problems so also lightning will be (finally) decentralized.
nobody wants to get hacked on BTC, we do things properly without going yolo
if ETH gets hacked nobody will care, cause people are in to try million of different things and it’s like a playground for rug pullers and scammers since it requires low effort to build a backdoored smartcontract.
