The "bridge" as you put it is multisig locking of assets which still requires eth transactions for on and off ramping.
There is no distributed way to do this yet(likely never will be), you have to trust some entity to have the counterparty key and sign the transaction with you when you on/off ramp.
Basically you think all this shit is magic computer money because you are a mongoloid that clicks buttons on Uniswap twice a day and thinks he is a financial genius, but in reality the solution you have such a huge boner for is just basic sharding with centralized asset buckets controlled by chinks of all races.
