US market is horrendously overvalued, and has a long way to fall if the bubble pops. ASX is still overvalued but it is still a good way off where it was pre-crash. It's remained relatively subdued in its bull run, and so you wouldn't expect it to crash as hard, even if it still does go down.

The Aus market doesn't always follow the US market. Generally markets are correlated, but they don't always follow. The ASX over the last 3 months has not followed the US that much. Everything was also overvalued pre-COVID anyway. A realistic fair price for things is literally about where we were back in the March lows.
