ASX won't dump as hard as the US.

US market is horrendously overvalued, and has a long way to fall if the bubble pops. ASX is still overvalued but it is still a good way off where it was pre-crash. It's remained relatively subdued in its bull run, and so you wouldn't expect it to crash as hard, even if it still does go down.

The Aus market doesn't always follow the US market. Generally markets are correlated, but they don't always follow. The ASX over the last 3 months has not followed the US that much. US has had a retard strength bull run based on nothing where as the ASX (and other markets like the FTSE and CAC) have crabbed for 3 months.

Everything was also overvalued pre-COVID anyway. A realistic fair price for things is literally about where we were back in the March lows.

I agree but I see this a problem for the ASX, because a small hint of hear in U.S markets equates to a drop in ASX the next day 9 times out of 10. If the drop is big enough we will get hit even harder.
I believe most investors are putting everything into U.S stocks because no one has high confidence in indexes like ASX, FTSE100 etc. I also notice that ASX tends to tumble down the moment CHYNA wakes up to trade (SSE Composite Index). we do have a shit load of a chinese influence in aus markets so who knows what is going on there.

You can buy a Model 3 in the US for less than the average selling price of a new car. Tesla has the highest resale value of any brand, the highest ownership satisfaction rates, and the highest safety ratings. A base Model 3 has lower ownership costs than a Toyota Camry.
>>22684102
The US is the second largest EV market, Norway doesn't even have the population larger than Canada. You cherry pick these niche countries and ignore everything else and how Tesla actually ships their cars. There is not major completion coming next year, most of the legacy automakers will take years to sell beyond a few hundred thousand cars per year, at that point Tesla will be producing millions, it's not even close. The higher volumes being produced mean even greater margins. The Chinese Model 3s are not being sold in the US, that's stupid and Fremont despite being located in the state with one of the highest labor rates in the country still has gross margins higher than the industry average. The Austin and Berlin factories will have high margins as well. Shipping cars from China costs more in shipping than in reduced labor, this is why major automakers don't do this already and produce cars within the regions they end up.

>The US is the second largest EV market, Norway doesn't even have the population larger than Canada
Norway is the largest and most competitive EV market in the world. Both in terms of total percentage of EV cars on their roads and with the number of options available to consumers. TSLA is getting buttfucked there.
Spain and the Netherlands are similar stories and Germany is where TSLA just proudly finished a gigafactory. More another way to collect subsidies than profits and market share.
>China
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-11/tesla-plans-to-start-shipping-china-built-cars-to-europe-asia
The demand isn't THERE in China. And they are shipping excess inventory to EU and US markets. This was something Elon promised would never happen.
Moral of the story: TSLA was "first mover" but once any competition shows up they get absolutely pounded into the dirt. It is literally and unironically the US that is the last stand.

because we are in the middle of one of the biggest shitfights ever seen on this planet. good vs evil, end of days stuff. the only thing keeping this planet together is TRUMP and his allies.

this whole thing was orchestrated to destroy the world at the end of HIL DAWGS term. they were going to crash everything into the ground and use some kind of special presidential emergency powers to have HIL DAWG turn the U.S (and the rest of the world) into hell on earth. but instead TRUMP won and they already spent billions upon billions orchestrating the fucking COVID event .. so why not just go with it and try to damage TRUMP as much as possible.

Are you fucking joking? China is by far the largest and most competitive market on the planet. California alone sells more EVs than all of Norway. Tesla doesn't care about Norway, it's a irrelevant market with niche consumers that have always preferred German cars.
>Germany is where TSLA just proudly finished a gigafactory.
The Berlin factory isn't closed to finished, that is part of the reason why your argument is terrible because consumers are waiting for the factory to be completed so they can get better prices. The same thing happened in China and their sales surged once it was completed.
>And they are shipping excess inventory to EU and US markets
This is just made up. Most of it goes to the rest of Asia, places where Tesla doesn't have in factories. It's absurd that you're suggesting Tesla should only sell their Chinese cars in China and that any thing else means there's no demand. Tesla sales in China have literally never been higher.
