Everyone has waited 3 years for the lightning network and nothing has come of it, and there's no sign that anything ever will come of it.
BTC's growth worldwide has been completely cucked because everyone is still waiting for it. Each year is a lower high in price.
Implementing scalable blocksizes would have only taken a couple of months at most and Bitcoin's momentum wouldn't have been lost so badly.
