Going to be storing my bits and bobs for a while and looking at a hardware wallet on ebay used. I always try to be frugal but I'm concerned about the security of a second hand unit. Can these be formatted and new passcodes entered or are they a one shot deal?

I'm bipolar but meds don't work. When I go manic I drink, I don't usually. When I'm like that I can drink as much as I can get and it always ends badly. This time I was walking around my local neighbourhood screaming for antifa to come out and fight at 3am. (They had stickered my neighbourhood)
This happens every few months and the judge gives me so many chances with probation, community work etc then gets fed up and sends me to jail. I'm at the jail part of the cycle. It's not my first rodeo.
