It's a possibility, for sure. I always try to figure the motivations behind why someone posts something as well though. For the no linker, the only satisfaction is they were right, which is some small win I guess, but pretty minor. For the swing linker, they get to be right about their decision to swing, and also financially benefit if they can convince you to capitulate as well. They'll also be much more desperate to convince you, as they are going to want to hit their price targets for shorts and buys.
