Yeh same here. I fucked about and put more GBP into CBpro, bought ETH, sent it to Uniswap so I could pay the Gas fee, sent the UNI to CBpro, and now I can't sell it as I'm a UK fag and it only allows UNI/USD pair which, you guessed it, isn't available in my region. Was gonna sell it for Link.

Well the airdrop is underrated in the sense that getting a fair distribution into the hands of many and not letting whale's buy out all the initial supply and reap the lion's share of profit is hard to do. This is one very effective way to do it. Because Uniswap has the exchange platform they are one of the only entities that can pull off something like this so relatively fairly. I can't emphasize how important this is, getting a coin into the hands of a wide spread of people. It's about decentralization, which was the thesis behind Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

As for utility, it offers a chance in governance, and UNI holders will have a share of fees from Uniswap. YFI is a governance token as well with a 1B market cap. In my opinion UNI will ultimately be larger.

Decentralized exchanges are hard to argue against because it doesn't require KYC, you don't have to jump through the hoops of traditional exchanges which have essentially become big banks at this point (they're not your friend). DEX's keep it simple, the markets are made on the platform. No traditional centralized control. Universal swaps. Probably the future.

To put it somewhat hyperbolically:
By holding the token you now get a share of fees from the new banks.
By holding a lot of the token you can get a chance to control the future of money.

Straight up. People still made it on Link but it was still only a fraction of the board because Link came out with the ICO boom and had 492938571293571293759 competitor tokens. Uniswap is 100% a token that most of the board has because we have at some point gotten in on ONE shitcoin on the platform.

We are in early on this. People still don't know much about Uniswap or were scared away.
