- Psychology. Will you hold through a 90% dump to get your +2000% or will you sell? If you can find a strategy to hold through, it should work.
- Hindsight. Will you sell at +100% or hold while it dumps back to +20%? If you held at 100%, will you sell at 150% or let it dump to 30%? That's why you can never look at peak profit: you must choose the tokens and the dates, then apply a prior strategy (i.e. one that's tuned purely on data that does not know about these tokens) to estimate real returns in that scenario. then, you can tune the model based on real returns and try it on the next few tokens, until you're satisfied with the result.
