when in doubt, rent mining rig out, with a backup pool pointed at doge. renting scrypt mining rigs will get you about £4 per mh/s over 24 hours guaranteed. that much btc will buy a lot of pnd. until there's some unique and inspiring coin, or pnd finds some new leadership. there seems to be nothing worth mining except the relatively stable coins, and even daytrading or riding pumps and dumps is only profitable if you can throw a fortune at it.

that's a low price, bro. some people charge a lot more. are you factoring in electricity costs or something? i can't remember whether i did. i'm pretty sure i did. even if i didnt, only the stable coins are safe investments at the moment. i like having a fiver's worth of btc flowing into my untouched bitcoin wallet every day, because i expect the price of btc to rocket. i don't waste much time mining altcoins any more. name one which has succeeded and i'll name 100 which have almost immediately turned to shit.

sure it can, it's just not profitable to do so, because pos.

>> No.221940

A lot of the big stakehodlers will be the miners themselves.

The main thing is to create liquidity. Yes it may well get dumped into again but so long as the buy orders keep coming (which they will) the coin will remain somewhat stable. Eventually the dumpers will run out of coins which will be paid out to the multipool miners who have no incentive to dump.

Once liquidity is restored, however volatile, it means we can work on other things. At the moment we've kind of stalled in that department because of the market.

Sure, miners will probably end up with less PND overall then if they just straight up mined PND but what's better: 1 million PND you can't do shit with or 500k which has a stable value, is traded in a liquid market and is accepted by vendors etc?

But yes I get what you're saying. Yes, initially the miners would certainly be making a loss and (possibly) selling to themselves.

But in the long term it would be worth it. By initially making a loss they would allow liquidity to return and new investors to come in.

PND now has nothing, not even miners selling to themself. The market needs an initial ignition, and as soon as there is at least 1 satoshi buy order and the walls get ripped down, the market can move again with the safetynet of a constantly buying multipool.
Also, there is no other coin that tries that, with Blackcoin multipool being shut down for development. If everything goes well, PND could open their multipool the same time with Blackcoin. That means, two coins doing the same experiment but PND has nothing to lose being almost dead already.

Lol yes, look at yourselves, PND is dead as fuck

You guys are embarrassing and worse than any Wolong cult followers. It's okay if you weren't one of the faggots bashing Wolong followers and making fun of them at the start, but most of you guys did. PND was meant to kill Wolong, and it did, and now all of you are here thinking you were supposed to make a profit and you can't let go. At least they realized their mistakes and admitted defeat after a week, but you guys still cling onto a dead coin with a "rescue plan" that can't work and won't do anything to help.

Here, let me explain... Multipool won't do anything but allow the people missed dumping at 1 Satoshi to dump their stash and then leave PND forever. Once it's PoS the people who still mine on multipool to buy PND will be making huge losses and buy into the PoS profits from people who hold millions of PND. They think they can keep doing this until they have aquired enough PND themselves to start dumping their own PoS profits for 1 Satoshi (being optimistic here) to the next person in line who is mining on multipool with the same intentions.

What you're trying to do here is create the definition of a pyramid scheme, which won't be sustainable because at some point people will stop mining on the multipool, which by itself is already a huge loss because you give away hashrate/electricity for free.

Smart people will dump as soon as possible and get the fuck out. This plan does nothing but reduce the amount of bagholders and leave a few stupid people extremely burned.

you need two pcie slots on your motherboard. if they're both big enough (i.e biggest pcie can get, aka 16 speed) you can plug both the cards straight into those. if one is smaller (pcie speed 1) then you need a "powered pcie 16x to 1x riser", which is a cable which allows you to plug the graphics card into the smaller slot. the risers, being typically about 30cm long and made of malleable wire, allow you to have the cards physically further away from the motherboard, or even outside of the case, wherever is convenient. also buy a psu which isn't completely shit. also give me one of those r9's pls.

If my calculations are correct 29/3 to 8/4 (http://cryptocredits.org/))
I'll mine some myself, then, and hold for some time to see if they can pull off some services.

so i can expect prices going down after that

>> No.225701

No, the reward will fall downhill after that, so there will be scarcity. It all depends on what market they can create.
Look at the GPUCoin. If it ends being useful I can see the prices skyrocket.

What is the td;lr version of an IPO coin? I don't really understand it, do they actually get the tens of BTC for funding that they say that they get?

It's some new PoS thing

Yeah, I mean it depends. Some people fake it but you can just check on Blockchain.info

That is the beauty of Bitcoin

IPOs are like high risk, low reward thing.

Coinmixing and messages. At least they're trying xD

Nah man super high risk/super high reward

3-5% of coins is massive

Imagine if BTC did that, at peak that would be like 1 billion distributed across investors

IPO: They premine x% of the coin and give them to you for a fixed BTC price.
Yes, before a coin even reached one regular miner let alone an exchange.
Sounds stupid? Yep.

>They premine x% of the coin and give them to you for a fixed BTC price.

is the fixed BTC price arbitrary?

or do people bid?

>> No.225753

>>225748
Maybe there are bidding systems. But most have been fixed.

I find it just amazing, how people still buy into IPO as if there was never scam.

>> No.225755

>>225748
It depends some shitty scams will do fixed price for max profit. The prices can be so high their estimated marketcap would be like 100+ million

Some IPOs do it based on proportion. Let's say you're the only investor and you put in like 0.001 BTC, you'll get all the coins if no one else invests.

>> No.225756

>>225748
Both were done by different coins, some asked for a particular amount of BTC for x% coins, others took bids and after the "ipo phase" was over they distributed the premine to the "investors" proportional to how much BTC each paid

I remember a coin dev (not sure if GPUcoin) told people not to worry because they could file a complaint with the authorities of that particular county where he lived, should there ever be a risk of running away with the IPO money

however if all of the transactions were done by BTC i dont see them having any juridiction

>> No.225783

>>225762
Yes, that was gpucoin. And it came out, the "CEO" was a total dork, had no clue how to run a business and his "partner" for the "cheap cards" was some small local rat-shop.

And what would people do? File complaint? "Mr. officer, s-someo-one on the internets took a-all my b-b-Bitcoins!" - "your what?"

People by into IPOs because of the first IPO coin (XPM I think).

The people that brought into that got rich.
