Cooler heads now prevailing about BHS on ceo.ca.

https://ceo.ca/bhs

@hartadd | We all wanted the "production" release and we'll be getting that soon. But this acquisition of a decent chunk of gold, near Vancouver, with a pre-existing set of drill holes and some mine works, is pretty smart. Critically, it can be drilled using flow through money which is already in the bank. I think we are on the cusp of an explosive market in precious metals. There may be one pull back and then, BOOM, $2000 gold will look cheap. Having an interest in an expandable 220K gold project will look very, very clever if gold goes to $2500 and beyond. Concerning the possibility of a takeover down the road, BHS is about to become an operating, profitable, silver producer, which means free cash flow. That in turn means that the company will be able to internally fund exploration at Brandywine, Harrison and the Bayhorse mine itself. Why be taken over? My sense is that GO is building a precious metals production company with a focus on low CAPEX, high return, projects. The Bayhorse is not a one trick pony any more.

@cornhuskergold | Graeme's quote from today's PR: "Bayhorse CEO Graeme O’Neill comments; “Now that the Bayhorse Silver Mine in Oregon has started producing silver concentrate..." The concentrate is the output of the floatation circuit that is being recommissioned. So that statement confirms the float circuit is actively processing the available ore.

@bedrag | spoke with Graeme and he put my concerns to rest. Lots to look forward to I believe and whilst this was not the News we were expecting, the future looks very bright. I suggest to anyone else concerned, contact the company. Looking forward to better days ahead!

@Leon | "Getting 50% of a historic 200,000+ #gold play, with workings and drill holes for very little money is going to look very smart. Lots of news." ~ Jay Currie

This false dichotomy where things are either perfectly okay and a ZOGged wonderland of high tech degeneracy OR a Mad Max wasteland is retarded.

There are any number of situations where precious metals are a lifesaver even without a total breakdown in law and order. Weimar Germany is the most obvious example, but any country experiencing a monetary crisis will do.

Obviously in places like Zimbabwe, having the US dollar or British pound was the best hedge against the collapse of the Zim dollar, but the benefit of PMs is that at a stroke you’re covered against ANY currency weakness that could even potentially happen decades down the road. So instead of buying a few thousand each of JPY USD GBP EUR etc you can just cut the bullshit and buy PMs without playing musical chairs with more or less stable fiats.

PMs are like financial armor. Sure they’re unwieldy heavy and a bit annoying but you’re comfy and proverbially bulletproof. Commies, (((central bankers))), regular (((bankers))), governments national and foreign literally nobody can touch you.

No, you won't. The people with money will be establishing semi-functional communities with markets at which PMs make for a better system of exchange than pure bartering. These islands of civilization appeal to people far more than your primitive gun ranch, which will have less guns than the walled villages anyway.

By all means, continue masturbating to your idiotic fantasies without regard for actually researching what happens every time a society has fallen apart in the past. I'll give you a hint, the people with the money to hire armies do a lot better than random fuckwits with weapons.

If you were accepting TONNES of gold as collateral wouldn't you assay the bars yourself or hire a trusted agent to assay them? As you say, it was a simple scam, not something that would fool a professional. In this sense I lean towards fraud, the bank was in on it. Someone got a sweet bonus for making such a large loan. I bought West Red Lake Gold for a trade today as I think it's going to bounce off the bottom channel of the price action. Undervalued would be Bonterra resources who've ate shit for a decade now, but who are a still a solid company with great properties. If you asked yesterday I would've recommended Brigadier Gold for holding the property between Viszla and GR silver, however we are up 25% today so you're buying into strength.

I'm tempted to play Newfound Gold's drill results using the nearby Kingsway property at Labrador Gold; the bonanza drill result from NFG's Queensway property is very close to the Kingsway property, and they sit on the same fault line. Mariner resources is a nano-cap way to play the newfoundland area as they hold the most land there. Maritime resources also has a past producing mine if I recall correctly there with good grades. They're probably undervalued.

First Mining Gold looks undervalued for the amount of Gold they have in the ground at Springpole, and the Goldlund Goliath project with Treasury Metals seems solid. I think they have another property at Newfoundland too.

Silver One is great , chart looks fantastic and primed for a 50% upside move minimum. Good properties if I recall right. Klondike silver for a nice gamble.

Similar schizo question. I have been wondering why coins are listed as an asset for the federal reserve but notes are liabilities. I know this stems back to the gold standard but does that mean coins even though debased are a legitimate form of us currency compared to fed notes? I guess what im trying to get at here is if us treasury notes are reissued and fed notes are taken away, will these coins work in the new system?

Puregold's upside is limited compared to other juniors as their first pour has been pricing in for months now. They're sitting around 1b market cap. Who knows though. They have so much momentum, that I won't be surprised if keep going. This is like everybody's first junior stock. I've seen them talked about on Reddit and Twitter. I'd take some profits off the table if you want to buy some other companies and let the rest ride.

I've got no idea where Aurcana is going anymore as they've passed 1$ and are in blue skies territory. Whenever the financing comes in, it's gonna rocket the stock up, as will the final ramp up into production and the cash flow. After RV goes online they'll get their second mine up and running. It's a great stock and probably a 5 bagger or more a few years down the line

This in no way explains the coin shortage. Anyone who is hoarding coins or cashing fiat for coins would need ridiculous storage space for even a moderate savings account balance, when gold/silver would have provided the same hedge with much less space required. And the coin shortage occurred while gold and silver were still cheap. Just nothing about the fed vs treasury argument makes sense wrt explaining a coin shortage

Miner question.
If you invest in forigen miners than shouldnt we be investing in those same countries or neighboring super power's sea vessel shipping companies? The reasoning behind this is the logistics. If North America in general along with the U.K and others splits apart than our sea logistics will take a hit or shut down.

Thanks.

Its looking like I could have opportunities to move around the U.S on a regular basis soon.

But on the miners.
>I think it would depend on the country were talking about here.
True. Its almost like building a bulk of shipping comapnies on each sea and dependable miners from each general global area.

I see Australia, New Zeland, Japan, and Indonesia as possible Pacfic Ocean vessel carriers to export to South America or Panama. Thats just a singoe route. There's multiple to go by on all the seas.

Its just an idea.
Vessels get taken over & the global navy force like the U.S, France, Canada, and U.K won't be able to govern as much. This means piracy will increase at least initially. Also a global network for emergencies or tracking will perhaps break down to reform...however this will cause short term ship wrecks or without proper satellite coverage sinking of ships. Ships sinking happen still along South East Asia & the Japanese sea occasionally.

Cover the basis if possible.
I'll try to do more research if you think its going to help the miner holders here.

This could be handy when looking at trade between major mining based economies like Australia. The situation with them and China could be very interesting to see how it effects shipping and there for commodities. It may directly influence things. I need to think on this a bit more. If Australia and China got into disputes over spying or similar, and shipping was drastically shifted away from their markets, things could get interesting.

Good points as always.
I'll be looking on this to start matching up my miners with sea shipping companies.
There's quite a few third party comapnies that handle most of the import and exports for comapnies in general, brokers.... That probably will not change, but 3rd party logistics will be forced to choose a side at some point and many are going under given the size of baf corporate debt going around.

The theory is ocean vessel companies will take out large middle man brokers. There will be middle men, but they will handle communication more and less large scale brokers.

I'm not sure, but its also possible these big brokers will some how be bailed out or just survive on a global scale.

Always appreciated that when pressed you made a good case for a BHLL speculation. We'll see yet, plenty of sketchy speculation stocks outperform better companies in bull markets. Been looking at a shitter nano cap company that 5 bagged just riding off the wave of gold speculations.

>>22528695
Don Durret thinks Aurcana should be a 5 bagger in the future minimum. It's definitely one of the best silver stocks out there right now. Starting to get pricey though.

also note a large number of mid tier to major miners send their concentrate out to asia from North America for smelting and processing. The smaller companies send most of their material to one of the three base metal smelters left in North America, the most popular being the Trail Smelter Complex at Trail BC. So not everyone relies on sea shipping.

When gold and silver were regularly used as currency in the past, an entire industry of money changers existed. Each major district of a city and even every large rural area had at least one trusted money changed who would for a small fee examine and attest to the veracity of precious metal coins and other objects presented to them.

They were regularly used by outsiders, who wished to change their money for the more widely known and accepted local coin (much as a bank changes money today), and during the process of financially significant transactions when the party receiving the gold or silver wanted to be sure they could sell with confidence.

In the event of PM money coming back in fashion, this would overnight become the main business of jewelers.

So you are saying the smaller miners are shipping via air?

I'm thinking the biggest miners that are using the sea are copper miners. Thats kind of what I was implying, but gold and silver are the main miners discussed and I'm no so sure how long commercial flying for freight would last or be hindered in multi National split.

Monero is actually pretty good.

Supercomputer has been saying governments are going to try digital cash. In previous threads I write a bit about it. Most cash is digital anyway so it's all kind of stupid to say 'they are going digital,' a more accurate way to say what they are going to do is ban all cash.

Government manage to ruin everything in the last few decades so I don't see why they wont make a disaster of their newly minted shitcoins. It's practically guaranteed it will be hacked, fraud will take place (even worse than now which is required for things to work) and then there are the obvious war implications.

Why do you think silver coins are so expensive? (that's a rhetorical question for everyone)

That was a much different time. We didn't have that with the more modern silver coins. Better tools and techniques helped make coins more tamper-evident and consistent in weight/purity. Exchange rates basically consisted of getting equivalent silver content with modern coinage.

If everyone agreed on the value of silver, where would they be able to screw people over?

almost all of them are shipping via railway or truck cross country. They dont usually produce enough concentrate on a weekly basis to ship by boat. Its surprisingly cheap in the scheme of things to fright by train.

Oh well yes domestic rail is very cheap.
I think i misunderstood the nature of owning forigen miners in the context youre referring to.

Forgien miners outside of their home countries and geographic area only have a stock value to hold & profit from it wouod seem.

Im interested in seeing any South East Asian copper mines have high yields like Thailand or Indonesia.

Also, with the introduction of digital cash, it will be interesting when you cross borders. If you are holding a phone and it's got access to an account with your digital cash (even if those digital dollars are not on your device) it may well be defined clearly that this is cash on your person and if you don't declare it you will get pounded in the ass (I am also talking about government issued digital not Bitcoin). There is also the issue of spending digital cash in other countries... it's very likely that capital controls will be a huge issue going forward regardless of what that digital cash ends up looking like. There is also the issue of how would the Forex markets operate as this is a huge source of money into the economy. I suspect that will look very very different and not in a good way even though currently it's a shit-show (it can always be worse, much much worse).

Silver and gold sales might be limited to commemorative and special edition stuff and bullion might become a thing of the past. Governments are going to pretend that silver and gold are totally industrial metals and are needed for economic activity and that's why there is such a huge price discrepancy.

Sigh.
