They are on track to break 20m users coming into October. Could be a little short a little high. One problem is that they are enabling some non BAT related revenue streams like the apple vpn and now the apple newsfeed, but it still gives them extra runway. These seem to be value added services that non opted in users can take advantage of in the interim. I would definitely like to see a bigger push for more BAT utility, but it will come in time. What im really waiting for is the BAT SKU. That to me seems like its a user friendly version of what web3 and metamask should be. Mass crypto adoption is still maybe 10-15 years away and this is the only logical stop gap until then. Custodial solutions first, then allow users more agency as people become familiar with crypto. Not the other way around.

The self serve platform is running already but only for select advertisers. They could go wide open on it right now but It would probably be a little premature. State level targeting hasnt even been out for two months as well, and county level is the real bread and butter for self serve. Slowly scaling in is the smart move for now. I'm on iOS. Brave earns just as much as on my laptop, haven't seen any new tab ads (might not be a thing on mobile?) but the popups are there and not annoying. Tipping is normal.
Brave is better than safari overall - less clutter, cleaner, etc. Only gripe is you basically need to be holding your phone with two hands to switch tabs effectively, you can't do it with just your thumb.

1) backwards government regulation and
2) a weak team (BAT team, not Brave).

It's an incredible idea. That's why we all bought into it. BAT + Brave sounds like a world beater. But the execution isn't there, and even if it was, the government/big tech would shoot it down with regulation. It'll never take off.
