it wasn't one trade, i scale in and out of trades throughout the morning. my risk is usually fairly minimal though, i'll start with 50 shares on a rejection from a support/resistance area or a turn around from a parabolic move (like this morning), with the option to buy another 50 shares really close to the lowest it got (or highest it got on a short), and a stop loss a couple of cents beyond that. i'll sell half for a small profit and keep rebuying and selling if the price ranges, so i rarely lose in the first place. if i feel strong about a move i'll double down to 200 shares sometimes, did that today on my last trade today which was a short on AMD which i ended up selling 150 shares of at break even and then riding the rest down.
