Bachelors of some kind is a great baseline. You just need to pick a country and start looking on google, linkedin, ESL job facebook groups.

Without a degree, you're looking at country-by-country decisions on whether that is a blocker. You'll want to research the countries you are interested in and see what they're asking for.

Bonus points for a TEFL cert, but it's seemingly not necessary in enough places for me to list it as requisite to get started.

You can get a tefl cert at the school you wanna teach (which is generally easier bevause schools in non shithole countries prefer to cert you because you basically cant go anywhere else unless you wanna get trained again)
Or some shit 120 hour online one. Doesnt really matter if you wanna go to oceania or latin america or god forbid africa
JET is a great program but you need a real cert and grades to do it. Seoul is open to a lot of stuff but might like credentials more than elsewhere.
Latin america youre basically an illegal and no one cares.

Check out:

Those sites will get you started and at least if not teaching for real you could work as a cabana boy or day laborer or something in a place you dont gotta pay to live in. Business analyst working from home
>easy work. Devs do all the heavy lifting. You just tinker in excel and Visio.
>only requires bachelors in basically anything. I’ve had coworkers even without a college degree.
>$80-120k in the states
>no real project responsibility. Just have to avoid promotions that change your responsibilities in a big way.

Basically a corporate NEET. Life is comfy as fuck.

You need a lot of exams to get to 100k and those exams are a pain. But once you're done it's pretty cozy if you work for an insurance company, not so cozy if you work in consulting

I’m a consultant in a BA role so I bill my client 40 hrs per week but probably only work about 7-14 hrs per week. Before being a co sultans I worked a normal 40 hrs in a wagie office for like 3 years which kind of sucked, but I gave time the experience to make six figs now.

A business analyst can work in IT or in the business. If I’m IT, you basically talk with the business leaders to find out what they want in their software, then you write down those software requirements in a way that is clear for developers to understand. If you work in the business, you get subject matter experts into a meeting and ask them questions to document business processes in Visio. Super easy either way.

For the comfiest positions, work for a government, public utilities provider or other large organization with an older workforce. Doing it as a consultant is best as you won’t have any real boss. But being a direct employee isn’t so bad either.

Assuming you have a 4 year degree, then a little technical experience like you have is actually perfect. You definitely don’t need to come from a top school. There aren’t really any certain in this field so don’t worry about that. You can spin your startup attempts as passion projects and you’re in, dude. I would shoot for 70-85k starting out at a big, slow moving company. Just learn the lingo on YouTube before your interview.

1) Learn the lingo online
2) manufacture at least some experience. if you have friends who are business owners, get them to agree to say you did BA contract work for them. If not, make up some side projects you did for startups and get some friends to say they owned the startup and hired you. Right out of collage, I did some energy level job for about a year then transferred to that company’s IT department to a BA role.
3) apply to a bunch of BA jobs and practice bullshitting the interview. it’s a common role so there should be plenty of opportunities to get one

i think the general conensus was that accounting was more useful as a degree over finance unless you go to an ivy league.

t. had a 4.0 in a finance major from a large state school and went to a JP morgan analyst internship interview across the country. the first interviewer didn't look me in the eye for 20 mins and sat with his feet on the table while staring into space.

switched to accounting after that and found way better jobs in my field despite lower GPA (this major fucking sucks to study for). the cap is also a major chore to study for.

That seems nice. I used to do afternoons at this huge mall and after hours were always cool because you got to see things after they shut down. The guys who cleaned the food court would show up around 11PM and stay there until I left, they always had music going. A lot of them had developmental disabilities or were very obviously ex-cons, but it honestly didn’t seem like a terrible gig.

We had a floor waxing guy and a vacuum crew, too.

It’s like if you took all the people who wanted to be cops but then were dumb enough to pay $350 for a licensing course to earn minimum wage half an hour from the nearest public transit and then gave them cameras to watch each other all day.
