While it's clear eth is a joke and the eth can't scale fud from 2 years ago is beginning to become obvious today how can other projects compete with the network effect it's already built, with all the devs being familiar with solidity, all the third party tools like explorer, metamask etc, all the erc ecosystem, all the defi and top dapps already running on it etc. Sure they could all migrate but if migration begins it likely won't be on a single platform so it'll just end up fragmenting the ecosystem again and therefore meaningful traction and adoption. Right now everyone has bet on the future of eth being able to mature and scale. What if it can't. I don't believe polka-dot or arbitrum will affect this either, only if eth2 delivers.
