Smart money knows it has until LINK becomes the reserve currency of a new bubble. If LINK becomes the required buy-in for pools, and pools become the new narrative, then LINK will exponentiate like ETH did during the ICO bubble. Right now there is nothing that supports the dumb money greed narrative. Current DeFi is just the in-crowd creating more leverage and playing shell games with each other while they wait.

There is plenty of time to accumulate. Those who do it too early pay an opportunity cost. Those who can't afford that cost will be sad when they don't quite make it and have to wait 4-5 more years for the next round. Assuming there even is one.
