Little bit offtopic but:
Do you anons really bet agains USA and banking elites in this global turmoil? Isn't it obvious they will always be on top and fuck everyone over, China being their prime objective? From my point of view USA is forcing China's hand on debt, making them sell dollars. Once China is all out fed will do some 360 no scope bullshit hack and reset dollar forcing China to buy dollars again at worse prices while Japan will be rewarded for buying usa bags in the process.

I can't see how banking elites ruling this shit-planet won't floss dance on rekt chinese economy in couple years.

Hi again /pmg/, >>22282551 here from previous thread. Thank you to all you helpful anons again. I was just looking at a checkout at EuropeanMint and was left wondering what the shipment options actually mean in practice. I'm kind of confused.

The upper option would cost me 55€ but the shipping would be quick and insured. But the lower option would have entirely free shipping. However it also says it has "6 months free storage in Estonia". Does that mean I have to wait 6 months until I get my silver? Or does it just mean I may keep the silver stored at Estonia for half a year or ask them to deliver it immediately? I would like to have the silver to myself of course but I'm wondering about these options and would like somebody with some experience to guide me a little once again. Thank you in advance.

You either have it shipped right away or you have it stored so you can add more to your stack there before shipping. For VAT free silver you have to give the order to pick it up. You might also have the option to pick it up yourself if you are from around. I found the price difference between for example goldsilver.be and europeanmint in many cases outweighed the shipping cost. Use http://eu.compare.pm to see the price difference by filling in the desired amount into the top bar

Canadian Mint products are based but the mint itself is cucked. I walked into the mint headquarters shop in Ottawa and asked to buy some Silver leafs... The clerk was confused and said they didn't have any, I'd have to go to a bank or exchange. All they had are dumb little 1/4 once Silver "collectible" coins that they sell for $50, then i realized it's actually just a giftshop designed to ripoff boomers and tourists.
Also there was the employee that was smuggling gold out up his asshole for years, only got caught because he was selling it to a nearby pawnshop lol.

Does this mean I could just pick the storing option and then immediately order them to ship the coins? (Not that it matters it seems, as goldsilver has the option for immediate delivery) Thank you for the goldsilver recommendation, that price is much better actually

Also does the shipping go to my doorstep or post office? I would rather go pick it up somewhere close because of my changing schedule and previous bad experiences with deliveries.

Got myself a coin of each of the most popular rounds (at least in EU) last week to see what I should stack from now on. Here my thoughts on them.

- Kangaroo's: Probably the best pick budget wise; It's often the cheapest option for new silver in the EU and it's a great 9999 quality round. It has a laser etched security feature and It looks okay-ish, not as good as a Maple and not as bad as a Kruger. They come in good sealed tubes.

- Maple leafs: More expensive as the roo's, but they look nicer, more details and some shine. Also in 9999 silver and with a security feature. The currently are harder to get in the EU but if you can get them for a good price it's a good pick. Not a big fan of the unsealed tubes they come in; The kruger and roo tubes are nicer.

- Britannia's - They actually look nicer IRL as on the picture. It's only 999 quality though and has no security feature like the 2 above. Might be a good pick for UK residents as a tax free coin.

- Krugerrand: Not that great looking coin imo; It seems to lack the amount of detail a Maple has for example and isn't that shiny. It is a decent 9999 quality round though.

- Philharmonikers: Expected more of the most known EU coin. Only 999 quality silver, it's the only one with smooth edges instead of ridges and the design is a bit boring imo.

- Krakens: A little bit more expensive per oz but the 2oz coins feel nice. It's a double sized Maple leaf quality wise.

- Random New Zealand Mint coins: Almost as cheap as the regular rounds but with interesting designs on them. Overal quite good but only 999 silver and less known. Maybe not great to stack but fun to have a couple.

- Random other Perth Mint coins: Amazing, really good looking, high quality coins and very close to the price of regular bullion coins. Also in 9999 silver.

My overall conclusion from this is that for the cheapest stacking in EU you need 1oz Roo's, For the highest quality coins get coins from the Canadian Mint or Perth Mint.

Yes, I think that would be no problem. Goldsilver.be often has the lowest premiums but their customer service apparently isn't great. My experience with them is good though, you just need to read and follow their instructions. Most parties send with UPS including Goldsilver.be; They will actually give you the option to contact them once your order is shipped to change delivery to a delivery point or you could do it yourself with a UPS account on the UPS site.

I’ve wondered this too. I think in the short term, the US is going to hit some major speed bumps, and although we won’t lose reserve currency status, the possibility of a major economic downturn is basically a certainty. I think 2024 and thereafter will be a return to better days with hopefully a new president who has sound fiscal policies and ideas to invest in infrastructure projects that are revenue-generating. The public would hopefully be on board after everyone has lost so much and kicked down to near poverty level. I’m imagining and hoping for a 21st century version of JFK

its so hard to decide, if you look at the GSR then silver is the obvious purchase with a trade into gold at a later date. But gold is the store of value over absolutely everything, including silver, and it's no coincidence the BIS made it a tier 1 asset again (aka risk free). and when shit really hits the fan pension funds and investors are gonna allocate a percentage of their holdings into gold for a hedge, probably not silver.

Imo both are such great buys right now and are so undervalued so I can't really go wrong buying either. might just go 50/50 but I really want to pick up a roll of ASE's

I'd personally see little investment with a fourth of gold. It may keep value but at the end of the day it's only $600 greenbacks with little chance of appreciating. Silver might have a chance to go higher and there was some talk about tech companies making new batteries or some shit that would use a lot of silver, also solar panels and medical applications.

Not to mention that if you would buy gold your best bang for the buck is a full ounce. I bought fractionals at the beginning of March and in hindsight paid too much. But they appreciated in value so I guess I didn't loose too much money.

>How can I stack sterling like you? Where the fuck do you find all this stuff?

Thrift stores and estate sales are good if you're among the first but competition can be quite serious. Picrel is a 4 dollar platter I got at my local Goodwill in July, they usually screen out sterling nowadays to sell on eBay (dark tarnished pieces are often still overlooked) but this is .800 (80%) silver from interwar Berlin, 926 grams of pure silver in it but not snagged because most normies don't know much beyond sterling.

Where I get most scrap is eBay. I refresh the BIN only listings looking for fresh newly posted sterling items sold low by ignorants lacking scales. My autist memory is like a trap, so if I've ever seen or handled another like it, I can recognize and estimate weight yields with high accuracy almost instantly based on pics alone and gobble up the scrap before other like-minded scrappers see it. That doesn't help you, but just as often the sellers state the weight and for whatever reason have it priced low, so you just need to have a buy price per gram in mind and react quickly when listings priced right appear (keep shipping and tax in mind too, and beware of retards selling silver plated crap as sterling). I'm good at it, experienced quick and decisive, but really don't spend much time prowling; plenty of scrap to go around.

Normally I still get old coins at or slightly below spot which is nice but I dont know anything about sterling outside of looking for some sort of hallmark and having a bookmarked website with all the marks to help identify stuff. I have seen a lot of nice listings on ebay but no one posts weight and images look so deceptive. I saw a soup ladle and it looked huge until I looked it up on a vintage site and that fucker was tiny, making priced well above spot.

Ill keep trying.

I have been deep diving into all the smart brain and meme econ theses floating around and it kind of does all come together as such:

>1 - 3 months
Equity crash, FOMO into treasuries, banks make gainz flipping bonds to the Fed for the next round of QE. Secular stagnation confirmed. This means deflation, so normie think is that metals dip too. Some people think dollar and metals both go up but I don't fully understand that scenario yet.

>6 months - 2 years
At this point higher debt + zero-lower-bound + ineffective QE + deflation = dead western economies and desperate government. I am thinking something like they're gonna re-write monetary policy, start a war, or something else drastic that will spark stagflation fears. A lot of uncertainty + the cup & handle is a pretty good stack, so maybe PM shoots up around this time.

The other view is that we get inflation as planned, Fed policy worked as designed, and we go on until the next bubble.

I don't see any persistently deflationary scenario. Inflation really isn't hard. Print money, send people fedbux, done deal. They're just hesitating because they're scared of runaway inflation due to people rejecting the dollar.

I think they'll get over it either way. If it's Trump: he wants a weaker dollar to pump domestic manufacturing, if it's Biden: the people running the country for him are dumb enough to think the dollar is invincible. Either way, same outcome.

BIN is "buy it now", so if you sort by newly listed you can be among the first to see the inexpensive good deals that get listed. Getting deals on coin is good too, but scrapping is the best reliable source for cheap silver I've come up with. Forgot picrel of 4 dollar silver platter, honestly inclined to keep it instead of melt.

Here is a good example that I literally just bought right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/293725124112

It's all obvious in the listing, 477 grams of sterling (maybe 470 subtracting enamel) for what worked out to 225 total for me. Melt price is 377.25 ATM, instant gravy ya know what I mean? I love autism lol.

Monetary inflation has been very hard, especially for Europe and Japan. In the US we have decreasing inflation rate for like 30 years.
>Print money
They print bank reserves and depend on banks lending to actually increase the money supply. No one wants to take loans right now.
>Fedbux
This doesn't increase the money supply. Its taken from existing tax deposits, and is then being used to pay off existing debts.
>Runaway inflation
The Fed & Gov actually have all the cards to stop this from happening. Just raise fed funds rate and enact more lockdowns + higher taxes.

>>22300683
They are trying to inflate but they can't. They need money to be loaned into existence but under the current monetary system they depend on banks, which are tightening lending standards despite QE. I think when they ditch the current system they actually will go to some king of digital inflato-coin.

Inflation is still positive but the rate of change is less and less every year.

Also we are experiencing cost-push inflation, which is not what the Fed wants. Fed wants inflation from the money supply - currency devaluation. Shit we buy costing more is due to higher tariffs, VAT, higher energy prices. House prices are more expensive due both monetary inflation and also increased demand. But if you look at the charts housing prices seem to be rolling over. The rate of change is decreasing and hopefully going negative AND hopefully QE pushes interest rates even lower.

Imagine a house at 30% discount with a 0.5% 30 year mortgage.

The Fed uses the "core-PCE" meme because they only want to focus on inflation caused by money supply. They don't include stuff people actually buy because it fluctuates seasonally and is impacted more by cost-push factors. When food, gas, dildos get more expensive each year, it is not because of money supply growth.

Nothing to due with MMT. Current economy works on debt so it needs monetary inflation to continue. Fed policy cannot achieve enough inflation to keep the jews happy. We can't see monetary inflation without increased bank lending.

QE and fiscal stimulus are completely different things.

The Fed cannot give money or reserves directly to the treasury. If the Gov wants to pass fiscal stimulus funded by bonds, they have to sell those bonds at auction. Primary dealer jews buy those bonds, toss them to commercial banks, then the Fed swaps the bonds for bank reserves. This is QE and it is removing money from supply, until banks loan it out at greater multiples, which they won't do = deflation.

This is why monetary reset from >>22300224 is probably happening soon. Potentially will do shitcoin like >>22300683 says, where they can directly inject cash into money supply without being held back by the banks.

Trump is not against it, people want it, and even republicans are starting to figure out money pooling at the top is choking the economy to death.

Which will ofc bump velocity (maybe with a delay as people first pay down debt), and as it will be mostly (probly entirely) printed, so money supply go up too.

Here it is, the improved World map. Please let me know if there are any inaccuracies or design flaws. I excluded parts of North Africa and the Middle East because they used and still use Maria Theresa Thalers, which would skew the data.

Ahem, QUICK reminder that CORONACOINS (nothing else) is the /ourcoin/ of /pmg/. Not that you newfaggots would know, but /pmg/ controls a disproportionate amount of them, and combined have raised premiums on them out of scarcity. Some shitty corporate rounds with no mint attached will NEVER EVEN COMPETE with the coveted batbois.
Case closed, court dismissed.

Generally, sometimes the Silver coins stayed in circulation for years before they got debased, this didn't really happen too often, though, mostly just in places with lower populations and less demand for coins.

I have an electric metals furnace and have experimented with casting sterling and bronze items but am still learning, goal is to make sterling or even solid bullion "silver knuckles" based on a nice antique brass knuckles I have, oughta be pretty sweet when I get everything ironed out.

Most cheap sterling is brought to a refinery which pours me 4-n kilo ingots after processing the batches, though I keep lots of the rare/high quality cool stuff as-is because I've always liked antiques anyway, dining from sterling plates and goblets etc is patrician as fuck and the good old pieces are worth more than their bullion content so no harm saving for now.

>what's a good price for a lionbuck?

I waited for a decently good deal, got my pair for less than 100 shipped total off eBay from a collector paring down his Thaler collection. Higher grade/better strike examples will cost more but you should be able to find the equivalent in the 40-60 dollar range if you look around and are patient, they're really not that scarce. Beware of shady Chinese and Russian fakes and sellers and you'll do fine.

I think you'd have to pay excessive premiums if you try to build gradually, since silver is only going to go up. So either put your cock on the block and buy now in BULK or be prepared to wait a good while for a bear market and a way in. Besides, 1oz and 10oz are out everywhere. You could still get a monster box at 20% premium. You'd usually pay double that for single coins/small purchases.

Easier said than done though, putting down that much cash.

I ordered 100oz silver Kangaroos as a first ever investment (aside from my residence) after reading and getting advice in earlier threads. In hindsight I never thought about what the next step is. When do I sell, what prices are good relative to spot and where am I even supposed to sell them when the time comes (since pm dealers seem to sell with a high markup and buy super low - paid 2660€ and best price I've found over where I live has been 2200€)?

I've also heard that some have had a hard time getting rid of their silver when its ratio relative to gold is small, a friend of mine who bought gold warned me about that today. Of course I can just hold for 50 years if need be and have them around when/if something terrible like war or hyper inflation occurs but obviously I'd much rather turn a big profit and buy low again later...

Now you're thinking right, a sweet little niche with less competition is the sterling handle dinner and butter knives. It varies by style, but full dinner knives tend to yield between 18 and 24 grams each depending on style and make, little 6-7 inch sterling handle butter knives more at the 10-16g range, master butters and luncheon knives in-between. So yes you're right there is probably over an ounce of silver here, but not priced appropriately.

My general rule is I'll happily spend 10 bucks each on batches of dinner knives (9+ inches), as I average 20+g/each after breaking them down. Knives in the 11-12/each range need to be extra ornate heavy styles.

Depending on the refinery and size of batch, expect 80-84% of the total solid sterling weight to be returned as bullion, refining fee of 8-12% taken out of the silver at my place so no electronic or paper trail past the eBay buying activity.

What's that? £24 an ounce? I'd honestly say you got Jewed. Especially since you ordered that amount. Should have paid a lower premium.

I know people will go on about 'muh sunken cost fallacy' but the fact is if you sell now you've got a negative ROI. Silver is only getting better, so why not wait until it clears your initial investment at least?

At my place "Prospector's Gold and Gems" I think it's anything over 10 ounces, they'll purchase smaller batches of silver though. I always do 100+ oz loads for better rates and drop/pick up in person so no shipping costs or concerns.

2619€ (not 2660€ my bad) total, shipping and all included. Used the comparing website linked in the OP and that was the best price listed. Did I get jewed hard? I've only confirmed the order but I haven't paid for it yet, I can probably cancel it if there is a significantly better price available.
>fact is if you sell now you've got a negative ROI. Silver is only getting better, so why not wait until it clears your initial investment at least?
Of course I'm not going to sell at a loss! I was wondering when the time to sell actually comes and whether I'll be able to sell the coins when their price is high since a friend of my friend couldn't get rid of theirs.

>Exchange for gold when the ratio is small.
Is it possible to exchange without having to pay income tax? Ideally I'd want to juggle silver and gold and accumulate it over time of course.
>If its impossible to find gold then the ratio won’t be small
Who would exchange for silver when the ratio is indeed small? Will there even be a demand for silver when the ratio is small? You'd think nobody wants to buy silver with small ratio

Yes basically, gotta get your feet wet and accrue hands-on experience before those basic skills can be further honed. It takes some risk tolerance and confidence but if you've got the knack for it you'll figure it out soon enough. I honestly reserve some scrap cash to buy "educational silver", for example weighted items (silver foil filled with plaster or resin) that look like they're priced ok that I'm not familiar with to break down and study. Then you know precisely what yields to expect from the same items (models of salt and pepper shakers, sets of sugars and creamers, etc.) and can mine such items in the future very shrewdly and effectively with that special knowledge making doing the math crystal clear. And I'm glad to share, hopefully it gets you thinking and more aware of lucrative opportunities out there.

Thanks mate. I'm in England so I don't know if it is identical here, but we've enough refineries that someone will melt it, surely.

So, in short, is your advice:
find random high quality silvern objects.
purchase below spot value for the total silver weight of said objects.
accumulate 100oz
refine, and allow the low price of purchase to offset the 10-20% loss from fees.

>>22307016
I only know that I bought some about 9 months ago at £16/oz or 18 euros/oz., including shipping. And the spot price then was £13 or so. So I paid 23% premium. And that was only 10oz worth. You are paying 30% on 100oz. On a second look not as bad as I thought because your shipping costs will be lower no doubt.

Let's migrate anyway, this thread's dead.
