There's a lot of good strategies rn.
you can deposit link on aave, get alink (1:1), put alink on yfi vault (you get yalink) and then put yalink on pylon. You'll get the apy from the vault and the pylon one
you can put link directly on boosted or farm.
sushi using uniswap pools.
you can collateralize your link for stablecoins and go farm with those.
lots of choice. Yfv is comfy, i trust the team, they will have vaults, everything is audited.
I also have a big stack of akro/adel staking (60-70k$), but i'll just ride that for a while because I think it's undervalued.

I'm using around 200k$ of link (or it was 2 days ago, probably less now) to farm, which is like 30% of my link stack.
even with high gas, if you use 20-30% of that link stack, you'll get more than decent gains. yfv apy right now is around 400% (there's other with better apy i think)

The yfi vaults are kinda complex but most apys comes from the value of the token you farm. Same as where does ico money comes from? Trading a token that gains value. But instead of vcs being all over the tokens, now they are distributed to the community.
With time all these apy will slow down and many will go to 0, just like icos
