One of the things that Ripple (their token being XRP) are trying to do, is replace the 5 trillion dollars that are moved through the SWIFT banking system everyday. This is a 40 year old, slow, expensive, clunky way of sending money. You can send an e-mail or a text message to someone on the other side of the world in seconds, but it would take days for money to be transferred there.

Now, if XRP is going to be the currency that replaces the 5 trillion in dollars that are currently flowing through the SWIFT system, there is no way a token that is worth .25-.30 cents is going to cut it. The token price needs to increase. I am not saying that XRP needs a 5 trillion dollar market cap, as that would place the token at $50 / XRP, but it certainly needs to be much higher then its current price.
