Thats why you don't buy online, ever....my LCS was selling silver at 19.5x today, very close to spot. He even sold me a 1/10 gold coin at spot. Same one is on APMEX for 10-20% over spot. Its insane the markups online

It depends why you're buying silver. If you're buying to hold for decades, 100oz bars will give you the most silver for your buck. But if youre trying to flip silver for gold and vice versa using XAU/XAG ratio, then fractional is much better

The short version is when silver is used as currency, it has an added utility as a mddium of exchange. This makes it more valuable. Ignoring industrial applications, gold and silver are now just stores of value. Gold is more dense, more rare, and doesn't tarnish so it makes and objectively better store of value than silver. Because silver no longer has the added utility as a medium of exchange, it's been in a long term downtrend against gold

>>22192214
I'd say stay in Silver, ignore Gold since it's fast approaching the point where it's too late desu. Gold's been something for stacking while the economy isn't in open crashing stage; and furthermore you're not really at a stack size to which I'd say diversification is too much of a priority (my general advising rule before the coronacrash was for your first diversification into the opposite metal when you're at 1oz/100oz G or S; then your second diversifiaction into a tertiay metal like Plat, Pall or Copp at when you're at 10oz+1000oz G+S)
As for what to do, get a single Kraken if you want it for keepsakes (a lot of people do it here with their coronacoins), but otherwise just shave it as close to spot as possible with any globally recognised mint; with the sole exeption of if you're a bong/from another country which has captial gains exemptions on its' currency; at which point it's usually worth spending a tad bit more in the long run to go all in on your currency and thus get out of paying any tax.

that's stupid
If you can sell it now and take that paper to buy twice as much silver later, then it was an expensive time for someone else to be buying that silver.

It is unwise to hoard cash in the long run because inflation and devaluation and possibility of a currency crisis. But when it can be exchanged for things of value, it's silly to act like paper is worthless.

Right now, go for the Silver. With an incoming crash, the short is more attractive; plus when the GSR goes up you can swap some of that silver to gold for a more sensible holding portfolio for the post-crash.

that sounds like good advice
But I don't see gold decreasing too much in value, I see it going up in the next year or even decade. So I'm not sure why you'd say gold only when the economy was doing well.
Gold is the "real" PM so it's so tempting.

Cheapest silver looks like bullion exchanges
generic rounds - $29.87
Asahi Silver Round - $30.52
Asahi Silver Bar - $31.02

I kind of really fucking want those bars too...
Maybe 25 of those... so I have the tube and the rest to play around with...

It's not that Gold is gonna go down, it's that the relative value of Silver is set to increase in comparison (ie, the GSR).
Say in a hypothetical, Gold goes from 2k to 3k and stays there crabbing +-200 (as I said, hypothetical, these numbers aren't meant to be solid predictions of how ar the moon mission's gonna go, just easy numbers so you understand my point). Meanwhile, Silver goes from 25 to 50 (since Silvers volitility usually does better on crash shorts, its almost always expected to go higher than Gold on the shorts).
Now, say you've got 10k to throw around in this hypothetical. If you were to invest in Gold to begin with, you could get 5oz now, increasing to 15k value, leaving you with a 5oz hold post0crash. Meanwhile, you went all in on Silver, it goes from 10k to 20k on the short - at which point you move that shorted Silver into Gold for a post-crash portfolio, and end up with 6.6oz of gold instead of 5oz, to hold for the period in which Gold does better than Silver (the recovery).

So in essence, you use Silver now, to get more Gold later; while still staying all in on the PM market as the rest of the economy crashes around it. However, without the incoming crash, Gold would usually be my recommendation over Silver for non-diversified portfolios.
Hope I've made it understandable.

I generally disapprove of playing with paper PMs to begin with (since it defeats the point of PMs as oppose to just allocating it to a stock portfolio), but the entire crux of the incoming crash is that paper contracts are going to hit the point where their value backed against physical is proveably worthless (which will in essence be an unavoidable spark setting the fuse for a global crash - ie your Franz Ferdinand to WW1)
Putting puts on PM is about the most fiat way you can play with PMs; to which I'll just say that, sure, you'll probably make an absolute killing off of them, but it won't really mean much when both the relative value of the stock market they're in and the dollar are in the dirt. Paperfags got their last month of trading in August to which I saw some very happy paperfags get upwards of a grand or more a day on their miners etc (more power to them, but I was already all in phys at that point so I couldn't make any gains); but now, especially since we've now got data indicating the first set of defaulted contracts are in on Gold, you ought to go to as much phys as you possibly can, beause the economy is essentially on Sudden Death mode between now and the next few key dates which it in all realistic terms would take a miracle to survive through and delay the crash for a few months more (namely; November 3rd - Burger Presidential Elections, where either Trump wins and Dems crash the economy before/after in spite, or Biden wins and the economy crashes due to his policies with some Rep spite added in on top - and December 5th, when the NEXT set of contracts are due in)
Crashes don't behave in conventional market ways, and neither do PMs in crashing economies/ markets; I'd just like to remind you that you're not here to make money (crashes by their inherant nature don't do that), you're here to preserve value and maximise how much value you come out with - something that paper PM will not do for you.

Most bullion dealers I know do straight G/S trades, it's not a rare thing; and even if you can't find one, provided you don't live in a shithole like Commiefornia a cut from taxes shouldn't take too much from your profits. Close, but not quite.
It would have been modelled after a male with distinct intentional feminised differences, as the artist attempting to recreate feminine features on th male frame. This wasn't because they were all fags or whatnot, but at the time (for the statue, it would have been ~mid-late 1800, but the precident was around for centures, it's the modern era which is comparably out of place) it was considered extremely disrespectful to look on a naked woman outside of marriage (moreso if she was married) - and obviously you wouldn't frame your wife for people to gaze upon else it, since it would come with the implication you were using it as an outlet to unearnedly assert your surname's influence (ie, Britannia looks like my wife) - hence it wasn't on the end of that they couldn't find some whore on the street who would model for them, but that the artist would purposefully not have a woman model so they could save face as an upstanding, morally dignified business that treated women with uptmost respect - and weren't a business filled with dirty minded degenerates (which in turn meant that they were more likely to get more major contracts from more noble/official sources).
It's the same reason why lots of women in classical works of art are of stockier builds than usual (notably, this is the counterpoint to ebin fat acceptance movements and the implication that obecity was physically attractive back before deathfats were a thing - it wasn't, again, it was that they were modelling using men, and imposing a female forme onto that). Generally speaking though, side-shots of female faces were A-OK, which is why on coinage, your Britannias and Germanias faces are more easily recognisably female.

Now kindly fuck off back to >>>/pol/ with your leddit spacing; you uneducated, culturally illiterate fucking pleb, trampling over culture as if you're individually superior to it.

Hey PMG bros. You should seriously consider hedging against a dollar moonshot. UUP 26c March. I am strongly convinced that this could squeeze hard. The reason dxy is down is because of all the loan forbearance. Those end this month. For many people that means making 7 payments. Dollar demand is about to go through the roof. I am not suggesting you sell your metals. I am suggesting a small hedge so if the dollar squeezes and metals sell off you can sell your hedge and buy moar.

I mean it was a great time to invest like a year ago, but obviously hindsight is 2020. We're about to see some massive corrections these next 2 months. The past 4 federal reserve chairmens have all said that a double dip recession is already painted on the wall.

Now the real question, has gold and silver already de-tangled itself with bond yields? Gold and silver were supposed to tank after we hit 1700 a few months ago. It didn't happen. Typically in these situations smart money looks to store it's purchasing power in an asset that fomo normie fags don't have.

I usually just buy the cheapest option from a reputable mint. Currently that's 1oz Kangaroo coins for me since those are the cheapest price per Oz available to me while still being 99.9+% pure silver. If that would be a 5 or 10oz coin I'd buy that instead but apparently the 1oz's are cheaper strictly looking at the silver. You can also buy junk silver coins of course, I prefer to just buy newly minted pure coins.

He was talking about a serious dip weeks ago and by indications referencing what he was saying then, we haven't seen the worst of where he expects it to go in the short-term. If that proves out then we hodlers will have to be firm and get through it. Also if folks are on Margin for shares and contracts they should be off or very cautious if they believe what Chris has said about the short-term prospects for the PMs.

I know it is impossible to time the market, but what the fuck this is the clearest bubble I've ever seen. It goes up for no reason, down for no reason, there are zero fundamentals, there are strippers on twitter giving eachother stock advice, there is a guy named Davey Day Trader on Twitter saying stocks only go up.

>>22207313
Oh yeah if we get a correction it will hit us hard. Just have some cash on hand to buy. My trading account has a lot of cash in it right now because I don't want to have to wait for the bank transfer if/when it happens.

I don't see how gold is worth more then $1200. Just look at past data. Even with inflation there is no accounting for the current price. Unless you honestly believe hyperinflation is here just don't buy now. Yes USD printing is up, but not by more then a few percent of total USD money supply.

Where are all the COMEX-fud shills coming from lately? Is this the new strategy of the SLV shill?

The COMEX has already defaulted in all but name only. There's no silver left there. A mysterious actor has secretly sniped it off the exchange. Did you not watch the latest videos from Kirian van Hest and Rob Keintz?

Also, those of you who are panicking and selling your mining stocks are going to get a rude awakening. Remember yesterday when GDXJ and SILJ rallied from -5% to neutral on the day. You're going to see that again, and again, and again.

So lets say this is the case and the COMEX is effectively bust. You also have banks like scotiabank that have been caught and charged with metals manipulation.
What is left is the big players in the room like JPM. The Government has to be aware and the metal manipulations have not ended which means they are probably doing them at the behest or at least with the consent of the US government.
Will they actually end it? How do they end all the bullshit without exploding a bomb in everyone's lap that will force a revaluation of gold/silver and probably destroy the dollar in the process.
I am sure the digital dollars will play a role but I don't see how we get out of this trap.

Yeah, something weird is going on in these threads lately. The shills confirm my suspicions that something absolutely massive is coming.

As van Hest and others have said, as soon as people find out that there is no metal left on the COMEX, all the companies which need silver to function, all the pension-funds which want a 5% allocation to gold, are going to try to buy up, in a frenzy, whatever few scraps are still remaining. This will make the price soar to levels we can hardly imagine. I don't know exactly when this will happen between now and December (which is when the system _must_ break), but the event is inevitable.

Not to mention they are going to have to go after rich or well off citizens first who have 10-1000 ozs, not fucking people on here who have 1-10 ozs. The idea of them going door to door is laughable , the resources it would cost. Realistically they threaten and you "hand it in" and it is illegal to sell after. This would be no different then gun bans
