sent price yesterday 0.00000030 BTC
SENT price today 0.00000035 BTC

sentinel is a safe heaven against BTC dump.

the small amount of supply on exchanges and strong holder community makes sent the perfect hedge against the rest of the market, all weak hands have been shaken out during the past 2 years

SENT will have 3 types of nodes:

-relay node which will never come in contact with unencrypted data thats what normal users will host it will only relay traffic between themself and to a exit nodes (hosting this will not put you in any kind of danger)

-normal exit nodes which will require more expert users and will be subject to the same precautionary measures as when you host a tor node.

-tor exit node here the exit node funnels the data into tor its thought for people that run tor nodes already to offer them revenue for their service

also you will be able to exit directly into tor think of it as a way to reach security through layering:
your pc > relay node 1 > relay node 2 > relay node 2 >....any x n relay >> exit node > tor exit node > tor entry > tor relay > tor exit.
(you can add as many relay nodes as you want, if even one of them is safe you will be protected from surveillance)

>I get paid in Sentinel Tokens I presume?

SENT is a staking token, when main net will launch q4 this year , you will be able to stake your coins and earn yearly yield of 15-25% in exchange for securing the chain, yield will vary depending on which validator you choose to delegate your tokens, some will have higher fees for higher security some the opposite.

SENT is also a payment token for the dVPN and a governance token for upgrades and management of the community pool (which one day might be worth millions like dcr or cosmos pool).

SENT dVPN nodes will also be able to stake SENT on their node as a trust bond to ensure quality of service to customers (and for subscriptions).

SENT staked will also earn you part of the revenue from the dvpn nodes (they will have a service , maintenance and network tax imposed on them it will be minimal and they will still be much cheaper then centralized competitors)

there will be various other secondary usecases and products launched on sent own chain that will produce continuous revenue, for example an internal dex to allow anybody to pay for the dVPN in any token.

probably you will also be able to pay data centers to host a node for you and get the profit generated in return, this way any sent holder will be able to become a vpn provider

Sentinel invented the term ‘dVPN’ way before these San Fran fag VCs turned up with their shit, purple, non-interoperable scam.

>> No.22174741

>>22173304
I have tested all the dVPNs available: Sentinel, Lethean, MYST, Privatix, Orchid, etc. Sentinel is the only one with the proper long-term vision. They fundamentally made several key decisions, if executed as announced, will end up pushing them to top 50 with ease. Key strategy decisions:

-Building on their own chain to avoid bottlenecks like Orchid on ETH. Yes it took much longer, but now they will be able to scale without any issues. Smart long term planning.

- IBC cross-chain interoperability: allow users to pay with BTC, XMR, ETH, etc. No need for a third party, worthless middleman token.

- Solid token economics: for most dVPNs the token's primary purpose is to pay for bandwidth. However, this introduces a couple extra steps and transaction fees to the onboarding process: buy BTC/ETH, send to exchange, trade BTC for dVPN token, send dVPN token to wallet, pay for bandwidth. That is a terrible user experience. Sentinel does it a bit differently:

The primary value of the SENT token comes from staking and securing the decentralized dVPN network. Since this is a decentralized network, you need validators to make sure there are no malicious node hosts and to validate all transactions. In return for staking SENT tokens, you get a % of all fees transacted on the network. If Sentinel launches their token mixer, the staking profits will skyrocket. I would also recommend they also introduce a discount if bandwidth is paid in SENT tokens to drive token demand even more.

-Build a Layer 1 dVPN infrastructure that other developers can easily implement and incorporate into their own applications. Now any dev can include private dVPN connection features for their app without having to maintain a whole VPN network. I have already seen several examples of white-labeled dVPN providers using the Sentinel infrastructure. In no time, we will see SENT being included natively in dAPPS, gambling apps, privacy tools...

No other dVPN has these key features.

Sentinel is the Amazon of bandwidth.
Sentinel will do to bandwidth what Amazon has done to retail goods. Amazon has revolutionized retail goods by giving everybody a global platform on which to sell and buy goods. Sentinel will do the same, it will give everybody the possibility to sell and buy bandwidth in a verifiable way on an open and decentralized market with out middlemen. Before Amazon, everybody had to sell only locally and advertising was expensive, now everybody can send goods all over the world and has the ability to reach a global market place. Imagine when normies understand they can get paid for their unlimited bandwidth with out doing anything, or buying bandwidth at a much lower cost then on centralized VPNs. It is similar to unlocking free money that people always had lying around but never knew about. This previously unmonetized bandwidth was locked down by the incumbents, gatekeepers, and middlemen. But with Sentinel, suddendly everybody will be able to sell and buy bandwidth in a global market place, making bandwidth the first fully digital fungible commodity. This is an untapped market, potentially worth billions.

for anyone that wants to host a openvpn sentinel dVPN node, here is a video walk through :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2cd731Jr4 [Embed]

here is a github text guide:

https://github.com/sentinel-official/sentinel/blob/master/vpn-node-docker/README.md

here is a github guide for the ikev 2 nodes:

https://github.com/sentinel-official/sentinel/tree/ikev2_modifications/ikev2-node

sentinel is a layer 2 solution for tor like the lightning network is a layer 2 solution for bitcoin

TOR by itself is not enough, by allowing any consumer to monetize its own bandwidth sentinel will reach a higher node count then tor by 2022, also sentinel relay net allows to decide the amounts of hops your node goes through thus ensuring probabilistic privacy.

monetization can make it faster cause if you pay more you will have higher priority and access to nodes with higher bandwidth and lower latency, premium service > free service in terms of quality , also sentinel allows to host free nodes too, so you have the best of both worlds.

HUGE pump incoming

>> No.22185758

I know I'm going to sound like a pajeet shilling a shitcoin here but I really hope it doesn't pump too much yet because I want to accumulate more before it really takes off. Currently have just under half a million but would like to get 1M+ whilst it's still under 1c

>> No.22186152

just don't think too much about entry price, if this pumps hard like i expect it too it won't really matter

That's what I'm telling myself, I just always have my subconscious running the calculations of what would have happened if I bought in at all time low and sold at all time high whenever I invest
Even if I had to buy in at 5c that could still realistically go more than 20x

True, but the feeling of missing out on going 100x from 1c eats at you. Best to just get in on the ground floor instead of fomo at an opportune time.
