If comex implodes, people can very much still trade PM's, your average joe uses a coin shop or internet forum to trade it, not an exchange. It would make movement of PM"s harder, which would reduce supply.

But it likely wont happen until we are in a full on bank run situation where every financial institution is also failing. At some point I think the elites will just bite the bullet, use the pre planned exit strategies to dump asset prices and rebuy when they are cheap, then swap to PM standards and return to normal interest rates after old debts are destroyed.
