>Austen’s wealth was lost in the stock market crash of 1929 and she and Tate were evicted from their beloved home in 1945. Tate and Austen were finally separated by family rejection of their relationship and poverty. Austen was moved to the Staten Island Farm Colony where Tate would visit her weekly. In 1951 Austen’s photographs were rediscovered by historian, Oliver Jensen and money was raised by the publication of her photographs to place Austen in private nursing home care. On June 9th 1952 Austen passed away. The final wishes of Austen and Tate to be buried together were denied by their families.

Institutions make money by using and abusing retail traders. They have been using retail to pile into various stock that they bought at March/April lows. Once Becky and Chad, who usually have no interest in stocks, start buying stocks, that means the retail buyer crowd is running out. All the retail traders who follow stocks have bought and now the retail traders who don't follow stocks have also bought. Who else will buy? No one. That means the institutions will start a dump to get all retail retards out of the market just to start the process once again.

Well I'm not familiar with the story anon was referencing but it I have seen this tendency in women on the market before a few times. BTC 20k run was a perfect example. Women fomoed in well above 15k. Some feminists wrote articles calling crypto sector sexist and not sufficiently inclusive, like there was any sex related barrier to entry to buy crypto. They weren't talking about jobs in crypto industry mind you. This was about missing out on the bull run. Anyway those articles all stopped after the crash. /biz/ saw an opportunity at the time and a few shitcoins were made with marketing targeted directly to women.

They have a peculiar duality of risk aversion and fomo tendencies. This causes them to hesitate until very late stage bubble before they get the fomo, often entering at point of max risk.

I am back with an improved version of the DITMLCSMM and I call it the "box turtle".

I will explain in 3-6 months, just stopping by.

DITMLCSMM = deep it the money long call sideways movement method

The box turtle is an adaptation with significant improvements, however it is in trial phase for the next few months. These gains were fully attained with DITMLCSMM, the box turtle is the next stage and I will report those results like I said in 3-6 months.

2) the buffet indicator should only be considered accurate in times of non-volatile economic growth, in very volatile times a 1:1 ratio is just silly, as point 1) is valid and therefore speculation can safely exist in a period of low GDP, so a 1.25:1 buffet ratio is appropriate

It's stable, sure. However like many stocks, for example ATVI it's been able to weather the public sentiment of the last few months due to it's positions in the economic sphere. This means that it's in both a situation of growth and a situation of being overbought compared to the rest of the market. Eventually, due to sentiment of global events money will be more valuable in other places and WMT and ATVI will be seemingly stagnant. For a long time.

there is a difference in scale though
in the mid-90s. the market cap of all the Nasdaq stocks was quite small compared to the big Dow/S&P stocks. In this most recent run-up, the Nasdaq tech stocks started from a larger place (a bigger portion of the total market size).
When the stocks are smaller compared to the entire size of the stock market, it can be a lot easier for them to make massive momentum gains. But when the stocks are a huge portion of the stock market, it is not as easy for them to spike up like what we saw in 99.
If anything, the genetics R&D stocks could be the ones that we see go hard-parabolic because they are starting from smaller market caps

>"dotcom" quite literally refers to stocks that had no actual value, there is no point in mentioning stocks that did have value

that is pure hindsight
no one knew during the dotcom bubble that amazon, apple, google, microsoft, etc. would be the ones to make it through the test of time and become trillion dollar companies. There were dozens of companies that all seemed to have great growth prospects in the long run, and even for very well informed investors there was no way to know which ones would win out. And so many of them were valued as if they would become future amazons or ebays etc, until the multiples just got way too high and the selling stopped. So there is no way to look back at the dotcom mania and say "oh, investors should have just realized that [this] handful of stock were really good value and all the other ones were garbage"
there was no way to know which of the stocks would be able to realize their growth possibilities and which would falter

in some ways we are seeing it now, where people are pricing in the ability of all the tech growth companies to take increasing pieces of the pie (grow earnings over time). But the problem is, it's the same pie! we can't have facebook, zoom, google, apple, etc. all have growing pieces of the videoconferencing space, it's only one pie. even if that pie gets bigger, all of the tech participants won't be able to grow their "slice" of it by 20% per year per decades. At the end of the day, someone has to be wrong. But there is no way to know until 20 years later and we can look back and say, "oh, of course pets.com and sun microsystems aren't going to make it ! "

the kid wants to believe that just because TSLA reported profits the last few quarters, it can't be in a bubble and this can't be compared to dotcom. As I explained, there were profitable companies in the dotcom bubble, for example Cisco and AT&T, that never justified their valuations of the time, not even 20 years later (if you adjust for inflation).

new paradigm behavior change is we got the real CDC numbers showing only 6% of covid-19 deaths had 0 comorbidities with the average comorbidity amount being 2.6

in 1-3 months people will rotate behavior against covid-19 related stability, and this includes the prolonged tech bullrun

please realize this isnt about AMD not being worth more money, its about money being worth more in other places given a change in status quo
