reading that I feel like I remember a post on /pol/ or on a video somewhere of someone briefly mentioning a digital dollar thing in the CARES act, had completely forgot about it until you mentioned that.

They have a lot of payments they need to do, and some people actually didn't even get their first stimulus check. If they've been working on this since late March, and this month is the month they're gonna start sending out the 2nd stimulus check; might be a logical conclusion we'll see something being mentioned about it again this month.
