What did Vitalik mean by not showing up to Smart Con Conference?

Was he invited and didn't show up?

Or do you think Sergey never invited him?

Either way, the lack of Ethereum at the event was blatant. Someone, somewhere, is a seething tranny and I wanna know who.

You’re a fucking idiot. Chainlink does exactly what Provable(aka oraclize) since 2017. There is no authority, no solution to reliability problem. Oracles are centralized, each contract has a list of nodes that allow you to serve the oracle request (usually same nodes that also request this data, eg Aave pulls data from whitelisted aave nodes). Vitalik warned for a long time that that’s all there is to it, but underage idiots keep hoarding le based link.

This is the funniest hting to linkies about me. Most are still convinced about 'muh enterprise adoption', despite no tangible developments being released after 3 years. They'll tell you' oh link is blockchain agnostic' which was pretty clearly a 2017 selling point, but LINK is joined at the hip to ETH and has never made a single feed for anything but ETH, and the entire smartcon was nothing but a DEFI commerical, and DEFI is 100% an ETH phenomenom.

Sergey himself is an Eth maxi.

Chainlink is just a part-time project

Dimitri Roche is currently an advisor to Loop and Tie. He does dedicate a lot of his spare time to Chainlink along with his own projects you can find on his website.

Mark Oblad's - OK it looks like he came on board in April 2018. But has not been heard of since.

Alex Kwiatkowski - A software engineer for Northpass and Pivotal. He is a freelancer that may take on a UI job here and there for Chainlink.

John Barker - A software engineer for Chapterspot. It looks like he will mess around with some SGX stuff late at night every once an a while.

Dan Kochis - This guy doesn't even have a twitter but is supposed to be head of business development. Another one that appears to be hired on but never heard from again.

Adelyn Zhou - Where do I start. She has not updated her linkedin or website to show she works at Chainlink but she is the fucking marketing director for god's sake. This "hire" scares me the most. The marketing director is basically supposed to do the exact opposite of what she has "done" so far. She has tweeted more about Rich Asians than Chainlink.

Thomas Hodges - Nothing bad to say about the Hodge Doge

Rory Piant - He was part time but rumor has it he has quit his teaching job. He still is working over at Idex and Tap Project. He has dedicated more of his part time to Chainlink as of late.

The Advisors - Don't get me started, they don't even follow Chainlink on twitter ffs.

Sergey - He supposedly hired a business developer and head of operations but still does not have any time for the community? He has no scheduled events, I could only assume he is thinking of his next venture?

Steve Ellis - he cool but has way less commits now that they hired some part time devs.

When this socially inept 22 year old kid believed he created a revolutionary invention that would have impacted the lives of billions of people, he stopped thinking rationally. He started to become delusional, and was surrounded by yes-men telling him he was a god. Vitalik dreamed of a techno psuedo-communist world in which the powerless were suddenly the powerful, in a decentralized collective manner.

And then... nothing happened. Absolutely nothing. Except for a plethora of scams that enriched the rich even more before finally the whole crypto market imploded.

Then from the ashes emerges chainlink. It doesn't replace the system. It just improves on it. And it doesn't depend on the success of ETH.

Chainlink maxis are as delusional as the brainlets in Uniswap pnd threads who try to arfue that they're not balls deep in a ponzi scheme. They're unironically the worst part of biz. I'd rather every thread be an XMM shill thread than hear one more person talk about how Arbitrum is going to save the world because their precious idol is somehow related to it.

Chainlink has yet to solve any problem. They peddle stolen ideas to inflate the token price, claiming to solve every issue in the world, only to dumo 700k onto the market to be laundered into their own pockets. There's still no staking because they stole that idea too and if they actually implement it the house of cards will come crashing down. You don't seriousky believe you're getting 70k in passive income for staking your stinkies, do you? Keep dreaming and keep dumping money into their pockets.

Token not needed.
