In a similar boat, managed to get two of my friends involved in crypto, into solid long term projects. One of them is holding like myself, the other one started swinging for small gains and is now into shitcoins.

Not a single word of appreciation for helping them take the first steps, without me they wouldn't even dare to invest in crypto and would keep digging their holes. I don't let this eat me up, as I'm sure we can all be accused of this at some point in our lives, but it's good to be aware of it.

Never help people with finances. You're on the hook with them for life, and if you don't tell them when to sell they'll look at it as your fault if they sell too early or too late. I only give people general information on crypto and blockchain tech, and if they're really interested they can use that to follow the breadcrumbs and make their own decisions. I gifted my nephew 1500 LINK for his birthday in May last year.
