gonna be honest as a european here, and despite the fact that american time, dates and measurements are retarded, their notation is better with money.
a comma obviously suggests something continuing, so for a big number it's better to use a comma. a dot implies something ending, which in the case of money would be full dollars.
i wonder why we use commas in europe to seperate euros from cents when the american way is clearer.
