Predictions for this coming week?

I think we finally saw the financial markets responding as they should to Powell's inflation announcement

10 year treasury yield down = demand for dollar down
Watched the dollar dump nearly 1% in one day in all markets, TSE, SSE, HKE, FWB, LSE - the only market to catch the knife was NYSE - but by the end of the day they dropped it too
[the dollar has declined 6% in 365 days.. it declined almost 1% in 24 hours..]

There is no 'huge' expected financial news on Monday-Wednesday aka nothing to show recovery and spur demand for the dollar
https://www.marketwatch.com/economy-politics/calendar
Really the only news in the next week that could cause a decline would be Thursday jobless claims being less bad than expected & then Friday nonfarm payroll + unemployment rate

I think that as we've seen more States backtrack on their lockdowns / close down what had happened it's unlikely for the #'s to be good
More & more people are getting laid off / bankruptcies are picking up
https://youtu.be/eRsLhy9HFlU [Embed]

It's possible that DXY at 2 year low could bounce this week, but it seems really unlikely since the rallies have failed each time this past week. It's going to be hard to stop the sell-off..

Speculation regarding 145M ounces due for delivery right now.. more and more people aware of JPM manipulation / COMEX squeeze on deliveries

VIX spiked up huge to 24.47 in the past 24 hours

To me, it seems like we are on the diving board to jump to $30 silver this week - and as we all know, once it hits $30, it'll be likely to run even higher as the mania sets in

It doesn't seem like there is anything to stop it, barring very good #'s on Thursday/Friday

I'm neutral until the FOMC in September. What I am paying attention to is the fiscal side of things. Because I'm worried that things will actually get very bad out there in another month or so if we don't get another round of stimulus. I think the govt, as crazy as it sounds, has yet to clue in on the fact that they CANNOT ever stop or pull back stimulus without a crash. I think they are looking at some of the recovery numbers, and the stock market and saying "oh maybe we won't need any more stimulus" not knowing there's a lag in the data and the only reason we've had things be as okay as they are so far is because of the stimulus and fed actions already done. But they'll realize it damn quick if the S&P dips 10% in a day again.
So I'm sitting on a bunch of cash getting ready for the next big dip to scoop up some miners, which will moon again after congress passes emergency stimulus after.

>Do boomers understand what anime is? Just wondering
yes
we remember when you had to be 17 to buy porn magazines (that's paper books for you kids) and you couldn't buy them most places because it was borderline illegal and definitely unchristian. So our kids started buying risque comic books to jack off to. Of course the japs have the best jacking comics, so those got popular. Apparently that wasn't good enough so some people started making cartoons of it. Not that you could get those cartoons anywhere because they were also unchristian and the cable TV and local stations (an old form of media using pictures broadcast through the air to your screen) didn't run them. But eventually we got video cassette tapes and the very first thing we made with them was porn (thanks tommy lee and pam). The second thing we made was anime for the teens that wanted to jack off. After that it was all Star Wars.

so yeah, we know what it is and how it got here. We just can't figure out why you guys kept watching it after porn became cheap and easy to find.

I'm not sure what would really change from now until FOMC - it seems to me that they're just going to officially enact average inflation targeting; the House is in session the week of the 7th & votes the week of the 14th (same week as Fed meeting) It's unlikely they'll have announced a deal by the time of the Fed meeting, so the Fed will probably just reiterate the need for another round of stimulus [bullish for pm]

They said in the minutes no YCC / too big of drawbacks; it's unlikely we'd see a collapse big enough to warrant YCC in the next two weeks - so it's unlikely they'd push for YCC or even give YCC guidance [a wash / if anything regarding YCC mentioned = bullish for PM]

It's also likely that they'll point to weaknesses in the economy / point to the rise in unemployment & jobless claims (that we'll likely be seeing) [bullish for PM]

What are you expecting to come out that would make you more bullish?

>What are you expecting to come out that would make you more bullish?
Like you said them reiterating the need for further stimulus. What I'd like the most is more specific future guidance. Something like "we will meet increased inflation targets through doing X, Y, and Z" or "we would consider YCC if we saw X, Y, and Z".
What will make me really bullish is more fiscal. That's what I honestly feel will take gold and silver to the next level. At this point the Fed announcements can give us maybe a slow and steady rise up, but the next moon mission to $2500 and $30 will be because Congress finally passes a $1T+ bill or Trump unlocks TGA funds for another round of direct payments or something.
Unfortunately like I said in my last post, I feel like DC has swallowed its own bullshit and thinks their existing actions were good enough, and we won't get another big fiscal push until there's a market crash like we saw in March. Something that has rich donors calling their pet congressmen and saying "do something or I'm donating to your opponent next election".
Congress needs to be kicked dragging and screaming to realize it, but multi-trillion dollar stimulus bills every few months are going to have to become a necessary part of the foreseeable future. Either that or we have to actually see the bubble pop instead of being reinflated.

I need your help guys.

My father has $170,000 in a safety deposit box in cash at the bank kek.

I finally convinced him to accept gold and silver into his life...almost. I tried a couple months ago and he immediately dismissed the idea claiming "Cash is king son!" and other boomer tier logic. I gave up since I was still new and browsing /pmg/ myself and in the process of accumulating my own stack. I talked to him recently and he wants to go to an LCS and browse some bullion sites but he needs the final push on why to buy gold and silver. I have a few talking points but I would like some quick and easy effective things I could mention to him. He doesnt even need to convert all of it to metal maybe like 15% idk.

He sold a lot of really rare comics over the years at some shows and saved it. With all the money printing the fed is doing I feel uneasy about him keeping straight cash and the whole cash in king mentality. I dont want him to think it was all a mistake because spot drops for a while before the inevitable bull run.

Also do LCS need ID or anything when making large purchases? Do they report it? I never made a big purchase in person before. Idk what is considered big anyway.

It really depends on what you mean by "make it". Do you want to be able to buy an army after the collapse? or a small gang to protect you? or pay for the 28 children and 5 wives you have? in that case, yes you'll need 2000 oz Silver and 20 oz of Gold. If you are just looking to survive and feed your small family for the time it takes to get to a point where you can get a normal job again and get to a place where there is stability, then no way do you need that much. I'd advise continuing to stack no matter how much you have, but don't sweat it if you don't have literal THOUSANDS of ounces.

Holding cash has been a bad idea since the gold standard was dropped in 1971. Every single year the purchasing power of that cash diminishes. If he spends more than $9,999 in a single transaction (or on multiple transactions in a single day) then the dealer has to report it to the IRS.

The dealers have no obligation to file. You have to keep in mind that most people engaged in the sale of a thing rarely understand the laws surrounding it. You'll run into LCS owners who report every single transaction because they're retarded, but I imagine they're in the minority. A lot of dealers understand that one of the draws of their product is the desire for it to be off the radar.

But don't give these poor guys a heart attack by thinking they need 40,000 ounces of silver and 200 ounces of gold to "make it". Stack what you can, put in the work, and when the time comes, you'll not only survive, but thrive. Someday our "money" will be as useless as this foreign currency. Exactly. Like I said also above. How many people in America have 500 ounces of silver legitimately? Maybe 20,000 Americans? How many people have 2,000 ounces? Maybe 5,000 Americans?

If almost nobody owns any silver it isn’t like 2,000 ounces is going to make it for you and 400 ounces won’t.

In fact I think it HAS to be where even as little as 30-50 ounces is marginally making it.

Because I’m sure there are maybe 5-10% of Americans who maybe around 50 ounces just from grandparents passing it down and stuff. It can’t just be a society where nobody makes it unless you have 2,000 ounces of silver since nobody has 2,000 ounces of silver in America.

So 500 ounces of silver will be the equivalent of like 20 years worth of days wages.

That dime wage is kindve accurate- it applies to laborers. It grew in the late 19th century and was closer to 1-2$ a day depending on occupation, laborers still made well under a dollar though. Higher values applied to skilled tradesmen. But basically if you have about 200 oz it would be the equivalent of a median trade jobs' year's salary in the coffer- so figure 60-80k in today's dollars. 14 silver dimes equals 1 ounce of silver. 1 silver dime is historically a days wage. So 1 ounce of silver bought for 30$ equals 2 weeks worth of wages post deflationary collapse.

I even think it will be as much as 2-5x as valuable tho. Because there is much less silver available and billions more people on the planet.

So a silver dime could equal as much as a 3-6 days wage.

And when you think about it... I think it may have to work that way because even after the reset and silver becoming more valuable, there’s still lots of silver out there whether in smallish stacks that grandma passed down. Heck even if you only have 10 ounces of silver from grandma if 1 silver dime equals the equivalent of 5 days wages.... then those 10 ounces of even 5 ounces will get a family by for weeks/months until things normalize.

The stacking community is very very very small. But there are probably a good % of Americans who have 10-50 ounces just from hand me downs from grandparents and I think those small amounts will have to be worth a fuck ton just to get enough people through the period after the reset until things start stabilizing again

Listen kid, this isn't the place for your interpersonal issues. I helped the other guy because alcoholism was a problem I've had in the past and it's actually a pretty easy fix as long as you have good people around you and you catch it early. Your problems, whatever they are, will require you to find a sympathetic ear and someone willing and able to help you. That's not going to be here no matter how much you talk about PMs in between complaining about your situation. My advice? Move the fuck out and find people who aren't so caustic to be around. Other than that, please, shut up about your brother, it's off-topic and I have very little sympathy for annoying prats.

It's ok I can relate- rest of the family got coddled and I got told to leave when I graduated. Ancients are best bought for cheap- and most likely anything that looks like a turd is worth about as much. All the ancientfags have accounts on Vcoins and charge AIDS prices. The best place to pick them up is Ebay auctions or LCSs where you can get a nice denarius for 20-30 bucks. I bought this one on Ebay years ago- one of my favorite coins.

I think this is a way over estimation. I doubt most Americans have access to even 5 ounces, and most of that will probably come from "costume" jewelry like rings that are sold to high school aged girls. I really doubt most families could even find 15 ounces of silver amongst extended family. I think you're giving a lot of credit, most of those people who were handed down silver probably immediately sold it like this guy on Pawn Stars.

Nah... the 200 ounces will literally be a Kings ransom. It will be much more valuable than a current years salary. Like I said above almost nobody owns 200 ounces of silver. So in a reset what do you think happens when virtually nobody has metal? Main Street is melting down and you have your 200 ounce stack and go get in your car to go pay 10$ gas with your Kennedy’s and then go through the drive thru at Starbucks to get your Frappuccino while wild roving gangs of niggers are raping housewives in the street 100 yards away from the drive thru window your at?

Everyone is going to become diet poor. There will be a new currency. That 200 ounces of silver will probably buy you a 30 unit apartment complex free and clear, then you accept the new currency and live like a king... and you are making so much with no mortgage that you can even offer 5 of your apartments for free to formerly well to do housewives for blowjobs monthly for rent.

If you're going to buy paper silver for the long-term buy PSLV (not SLV)
Lurk moar to get the full story as to why, but quick rundown:
>SLV stockpile was picked up by JP Morgan after Bear Stearns acquisition
>JPM has used this reserve to sell MASSIVE shorts
>The numbers of ounces in the inflow/outflow are unbelievable / people think possibly fraudulent
>JPM was indicted / it's accepted & common knowledge they have been manipulating silver
>a lot of people think that SLV is fractional reserved out 100x / is destined to fail
>a lot of people think that this month of September will be the real 'stress' on deliveries

However, with that said, if you're doing day/swing options trading, you're going to want to do SLV options as the liquidity is the best you'll find - you just risk losing everything if SLV goes belly up

(Personally, I'm not too sure. I think that JPM has been acquiring silver at extremely low prices through their shorts, and has been covering the shorts & is about to go long with the largest silver stockpile in history - I think that the volatility the past few weeks has been shorts being covered, and then driven back down)

Here's a good video for you for understanding SLV / JP Morgan's role

I would wait to see silver break $30, then immediately go all-in on short-term calls
I think that it would require a lot more patience to wait for it, but would reduce your risk a lot
Once it breaks $30 it's likely to run to $33 easily - if you manage to get in at $30 and buy a short-term call, it continues the run you could make 50-100% on your $3,000
Then you could use that money to buy physical

OR
you could just go all-in on silver coins / bullion

I think you'll win either way, just if you actually did the options play you would jump start your gains
(with that said, you risk losing like $1,500 if it passes $30 and then people take profits & it dumps to $28)

bro, I'm not looking to make a quick buck. I have plenty of money in other investment opportunities that are way more lucrative than shorting silver. I'm buying Silver/Gold so my son will have wealth after this ponzi scheme called the Federal Reserve starts to fall apart. If the unemployment #'s are bad, then PM will rise, but it's better to catch a wave than 'force' a wave - it won't matter in the end if you lose out on $1-2 per oz waiting

It is literally the safest investment you can make. Yeah it can be manipulated, but the manipulating is done through trading the stocks involved with it. Physically owning your wealth as opposed to something representing a business that could literally evaporate at a moment's notice is the kind of security you can't place a price on. Plus it's about as forward thinking as you can get. You can pass it down to future generations if you don't find yourself in some economic apocalypse (which I truly see happening with the way Powell is talking about inflation).

Not to say I don't play stocks or crypto, because I do. But that's just it: I play them. This is investment at it's most fundamental, time tested and historical level.

Most likely, yeah. Silver and gold are the last safe havens after everything else collapses, right? Cryptos now too, to a certain extent. Either way, none of the other "safe" investments are worth anything anymore, because they've been levered up to hell and back, then pumped up with inflation. RE is worthless because nobody can afford it anymore. Stocks are worthless because of excessive leverage and overvaluation. Bonds are worthless because BRRRRRRRRRRR. The markets are on a razor's edge, and all it will take is the slightest movement to unbalance the whole assembly and it all comes crashing down.

I understand this, but I'm really not good at trading it. I guess I was asking more about the party of the cycle or indication. Not that you need to answer, I'm sure you don't need other anons crowding your markets.
>You need to start looking at your silver & gold like a currency
I'll keep viewing gold and silver as money and currency. I treat it like a dual system (at least untill we hit $50 spot+premium), like a majority of anons where PM is the obviously superior currency. I try having better entries by timing, but I know I'm horrendous at charting and keeping up with the market relative to the news cycle.

>>21978976
>Silver and gold are the last safe havens after everything else collapses, right?
What collapses? The better PMs might be lead and copper for distillers. Currencies don't have to collapse for PM to moon. In fact, it's likely that in a big collapse, PM will lose value relative to goods, but it will likely go much further than dollars.
>Cryptos now too
I think crypto has a very unique group of actors and unique set of risks. Currently it seems too risky for me to have more than 5% of my wealth in that game. I think I sit around 1%.
>Stocks are worthless because of excessive leverage and overvaluation
I agree and I think this is for corp bonds too. Not just because they have far too low a yeild, they are also far too risky an asset.
>all it will take is the slightest movement
Many well respected people indicate this, and I think they are likely right.

>track the dollar

>track Euro / USD pair (if Euro goes up, drags dollar down hard)
>track each overseas market on open and close
>look at MACD / RSI as indicators (but not the key deciders)
>Tokyo 8:00pm EST open, 2:00am close

>London 3:00am EST open, 11:30am close
Watch price action for all of these assets at all of these times
If you see all of them open green, close green, you can be pretty confident US will open green close green too
likewise, if they open red close red, the reverse

Download a news app from Europe - read both European news & US news (try to read as much world news as possible) Imo, you cannot trust US news - but you should still read it, read it with the grain of salt "What are they trying to get me to do with this information?" (that is the news you're looking for)
[News articles today came out about both Argentina and France having highest covid spike / France is considering going back into lockdown -- this would be bullish for PM]

The most important indicator is the dollar. If there is no "end of the world" news (eg. North Korea has just fired a missile into the ocean! Covid has now mutated & kills with 50% mortality! - that type of news) and there is a massive rally in gold / silver without an equal decline in the dollar, and it is approaching a resistance point, you can be confident that it is going to bounce down. If you see that it's at a resistance point, you need to evaluate the news the upcoming news & evaluate what you think the news will be & how the markets will react

It's not a secret about going digital/cashless. Currently most money is digital and it's been like that for some time. Super computer says the doors on cash and gold are going to start closing in 2022. Going digital/cashless is more about control rather than it being a new sort of money... because it certainly isn't... and closing the door on alternatives. I'd you're referencing the 70s where the massive unemployment was due to simply companies trying to save a buck where they can this is wrong. Stagflation is a bandaid, only this time the dollar took a shotgun to the chest. A lot of the low wage jobs that essentially move the economy for the upper class to pump money into it (hospitality, restaurants, even education since most classes are going online and districts are going to receive a massive budget cut as a result) are gone, and frankly won't return to normal anytime in the near future. Best case scenario is all of them realize being a 35 year old bartender isn't going to cut it and they branch out into a trade. Reality is that there is only room for a fraction of them and the rest stay unemployed and sucking the tax payers tit. In this current economic situation stagflation is just a remedy for the 401k of the average Joe and your Robinhood account.

So do the math. Keep funneling money to prop up portfolios and the source of said money simply isn't coming back the way they used to, and you have a recipe for fiscal disaster.
