Well, you've described one very specific use case of Kleros but its potential is much greater than just this. It's better to think of it in terms of "subjective inputs" into smart contracts. The Kleros white paper does a bit of a disservice to itself by using the web designer example because a lot of people think of Kleros' application very narrowly as a result. It is not just a tool for ODR.

Nobody in the real world wants to actually go to court, that's why real-world contracts contain arbitration clauses. This is already something that is done using real people. Read up on what "arbitration" is. Real court is expensive and inefficient so companies already pay for arbitration as an alternative (and sometimes just pay settlements to avoid court). I don't blame you for not being aware of this if you aren't involved in business at all.

Reddit probably isn't the greater public - you have to recognise that first. Reddit is a strongly curated, hugbox of opinions. Those that base their opinions from only information that makes its way to reddit, let alone the subreddits they are subscribed to only have a small view or take on particular phenomenons. if they were drawn upon in a kleros court, it would be in their own interest to look widely for information pertaining to a case as it is a makeshift competition to access as much information as possible to make an informed decision.

The GF case you are referring to is incredibly polarising, both politically and socially. Thats not really what the court would be used for. Moreso - ADR/ODR for civil or commercial disputes. If you think that kleros would be used for something like those - i suggest you finger through the white paper, or just read archived threads on here. You may not be aware, but in the legal industry going to actual courts are a last resort option as they are incredibly expensive. In most contracts there are provisions for alternative dispute resolution using mediators or subject experts. This is what kleros would be to blockchain or other based disputes.
