A woman does not sleep in her car just because she has no other place to stay bro. Think about it. All her friends, her parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.. Then you have her orbiters. She doesn't even need to have been cheating and have a backup bf or fuckbuddy. Just her placeholder bfs, emotional bfs, and just-friends bfs would be more than happy for a chance to let their beta provider skills shine.
Yet she somehow winds up sleeping in her car and you just happened to find out about that little fact. She's probably and quite suddenly a lot hornier now, has developed a taste for your cum, and is curious about trying anal because a 'friend said its not that bad and actually kind of feels good'. Men are weak, I've been there. Be nice but a little aloof. Say the sex is just rent and you don't mind if it takes a while before she finds a place. Tell her she's still special but you need to process and sort the emotions out because you did break up with her. This line should let you milk it a bit longer while also making it clear that she can put out or is put out. She will keep trying because to her that sounds like she still has a chance at getting you back and that sex is the key to winning your heart.

different situation than banks. An airliner can go bankrupt without disrupting their operations, airliners used to go bankrupt regularly until consolidation after 9/11 and the recession made them consistently profitable.
outside of that, stock dilution is also happening already, e.g. air canada, so even if market cap goes back to pre-corona, stock price would be far from pre-corona levels.

don't forget that other countries are going back to lockdown. What's the point of lifting travel bans if the destinations themselves are still not fully reopened

It's not really the amount of money that's important. It's the number of years you have after you "retire" to enjoy it all before you go to the pearly gates which is the important thing. Is working your ass off till your 65 that big a deal to you? Or would you rather walk out at say 50 and gain 15 years of life instead. How much time you got before you plan on retiring?. If your 20's, hell any ol amount, toss 1k in a fund (total market or S&P) and then keep adding each month. By the time your retirement day hits you'll have a big fat wad waiting for you. If your mid 30's then you gotta play catch up, dumping a large wad in during the march low would've done it for you easy, you'd been caught up with those who'd be in a bit longer. But the older you get the larger the seed wad needs to be.

HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS ARE AMAZING. Seriously look it look. You should ALWAYS prioritize maxing your HSA over your 401k.

HSA is triple tax deferred if used for medical expenses. No tax on payroll deduction, growth, OR withdrawal. That’s one of a kind.

No FICA. When you contribute from payroll to 401k you pay no income tax but still pay FICA. With HSA you avoid FICA.

Even if you don’t spend it on medical, you can withdraw HSA funds at retirement age and just pay income tax - same as 401k or IRA.

Oh and if you die there is some advantageous shit with inheriting an HSA that is better than other retirement funds.

If your company has shit investment choices or HSA fees you can open a free one at Fidelity and transfer the funds from your work HSA into it.

You want the Fed to stay dovish regardless of exact parameters. Weak dollar is good for equities. The thing you absolutely don't want is Jerome suggesting he's ready to tighten the belt again. That is extremely unlikely but you should be aware that if the Fed goes hawkish the markets will throw a tantrum. If you want to know what the market throwing a tantrum over Fed policy is, check S&P and Nasdaq charts for 2018. All of that was Jerome's doing.

both are good, personally I'd do something like TSM + SOXX though. Or TSM + AMD + SOXX
or basically SOXX + any pick you're confident in.
Like MU is good since they're at the top of the memory game and GDDR6 RAM is vital with AMD's chiplet design (to alleviate the latency issues), it'd be a good hold for at least 6 months. But at some point I dont wanna bother micromanaging all these different semiconductor stocks and I'd just recommend picking either TSM, AMD, and/or NVDA and just add SOXX/SOXL on top of that.

honestly i still feel like i should have gone SOXL instead of going TQQQ even though TQQQ has been outperforming SOXL. I'll probably do QQQ + SOXL later on when/if Nasdaq runs out of steam.

dunno about you, but semiconductor picks are still very largely overlooked. I'm definitely watching TQQQ closely every week though, if I have to take profits on it prematurely, I will and I'll just put it into SOXX and TSM and not give a shit for 3 years.

>>21879902
>AMD has been doing great things though so I guess I'll split 80-20 TSM-AMD.
can't go wrong, very bullish for Q3 (though with AMD as volatile as a pennystock, it'll probably gain much more than TSM) with both consoles coming out and both carrying AMD. That's prob priced in, but expect chromebooks to adapt more AMD instead of Intel. Supercomputer contract (e.g. Aurora) need to replace their shit soon and Intel is out of the game since their 7nm was delayed. A lot more shit beyond server market share that Intel will lose because they don't have 7nm as their usual contracts expected them to be.

im personally a bit hesitant on AMD because i don't like how it keeps acting like a penny stock. I like TSM more that i don't have to give a shit about timing on it even though AMD will ultimately eat up the king's share of the hype and gains in the short-term.

>3nm
Not that I'm bearish on semiconductors, but remember that all of these node names are marketing names and haven't been accurate since planar process transistors (protip: we're on FINFETs now, "3nm" describes no part of the node's actual geometry). Moore's law is dead and has been for years, but incremental improvement is still possible. Look at the performance data, not the node name (though at this time TSMC 7nm is probably the best matching its low number).

As to TSMC, if it were anywhere other than Taiwan I'd be hugely bullish, but given China's actions on HK and the world's reluctance to acknowledge Taiwan as a sovereign nation I think there's a real possibility Western militaries would not seriously contest the island in the event of an invasion. I don't think China would knowingly kick off a WW3, but I do think they'd take Taiwan if they thought they could get away with it (see also: Ukraine).

I missed the run from 3000 to 3400 and never bought back in during the March lows or during the whole recovery because I was a misanthropic perma-doomer who thought this was the end of society, the stock market is going to zero, 100 years of darkness and suffering, stock up on food and ammo.

He won't. It would waste all of the corona QE to this point. The Fed has zero motivation to hike rates and they said as much in absolute terms in the last meeting. 2018 was because of 2017 bull run, more or less, and Jerome thought he could get away with it. He was wrong. I think if he had been less zealous and only gone for two hikes that year they might have stuck and he might not have had to do all the cuts in 2019 to reverse every hike he made the year before.

I can't figure out my game plan in the face of the election. All I have so far is Trump win = lumber, guns and tech, because useful idiots will go full REEEE and less regulation on tech. Biden win = Guns, because "muh gun violence, guns running around gunning people, because guns. Needa take away the guns."

I am trying to find stocks I think win either way. Possibly gold just because right now suggesting less stimulus is political suicide. No biased answers here, remember, as an investor you should plan for both scenarios. Or is the election effecting markets a big meme? we don't know his average cost, but today was 492-500 depending on when he bought. at most he's down 8 bucks on one share. sure he can hold, but if we see a huge selloff he may be kicking himself for holding a 20-50 dollar loss. he can cut his loss now and buy back in after the split induced dip and get some actual profit, otherwise he'll be holding for weeks to get back to the 500/125 after split valuation.

that's assuming that apple doesn't just fomo into oblivion and hit 600 before the split. perhaps the tim cook selloff will drop the price enough on the short term to chum the waters and get a nice swing trade up if he has enough money to dca his way back to profit.
