wtf are the stakenet devs doing? Why only list this on livecoin? Nothing against XSN or Livecoin, but they need to get it on some exchanges with a little more clout and exposure to normies.

You do realize that big exchanges pretend you don't exist unless you bribe them 6-7 figures and that, even after doing this, it's good for a pump or 2 at best, right?
Investing in development is the way.

if you're buying xsn for a quick pump then you're dumb. We don't want normie exposure yet

I don’t mean big exchanges like cuckbase and chinance. Just something other than Livecoin. I’ve had a couple friends who stayed away because they thought Livecoin looked “sketchy.” I personally like Livecoin. It’s fucking based and works without issue. However to get this more exposure they need to get it listed on some other places. There’s tons of shitcoins that get listed places. Coindeal is a good example of small exchange that is actually really good, and I’m sure they would have something like XSN.

I’m not wanting a quick pump. That’s not what I meant. I just meant get it on some other exchanges and do a little more press releases. I noticed they had a post on blockfolio’s signal earlier today which is great. I dumped money in to this shit because I believe in the dex. But others are never going to see the utility in it if the devs never publicize it. Personally I’m holding this shit until the fucking wheels fall off.

I agree that it could be easier to purchase, but I've got a few people to buy xsn in the past week without an issue. I'm not worried where the price goes in the short term, lower is better for me. I think it's too early for them to start marketing heavily since open beta just came out

The fact that you can trade it on livecoin is a redflag already.

Now that the DEX is in open beta, anyone can buy XSN directly from it. Vortex aggregator lets you buy from Livecoin's orderbooks P2P without having to make an account and send BTC out of your custody.
I think XSN will get its choice of free listings if it keeps progressing the way it is.

I’ve gotta check the dex beta out. I just noticed it had launched earlier. Did it come out today? I’ll probably buy some more XSN to try it out. Seems fucking sweet that it pulls liquidity off other exchanges. Has that kind of thing been done before in crypto?

Not at this scale and on a DEX, no.
I just archived my old wallet and builds and started fresh with the open beta wallet. Gonna buy some XSN with BTC from the DEX for the first time in awhile.

I fucking hate modern banks.
I’m not going to be able to buy this shit until next Tuesday because of the slow-ass withdrawal process involving banks. 3 days from my Roth IRA to my credit union, then another 3 days for my coins bought via debit card to be available for transfer.
This shit is going to be 70 cents minimum before I can buy.
And fuck credit card issuers for considering cryptocurrency a cash advance. Lick my fucking taint, Chase.

Company A is floundering and has hired Contractor B to build a piece of their system while they try to address other problems in their company.
Contractor B holds up their end of the bargain and makes a good product.
Company A crashes anyway because of extremely retarded business decisions entirely unrelated to Contractor B.
Contractor B decides they want to take their good product with them since Company A is now a failure and they are no longer working with them.
Contractor B even offers to bail out the investors of Company A by buying their losses.

This is what you’re calling a “rebrand scam.” You are too low IQ to understand this.

I've been testing this for a year. It's come a very long way and it looks and feels like a finished product now. I think it was smart of them to go for an open beta with bug bounties to get further reinforcement and support to harden the DEX.

sure, if you're another cex, or if you're a huge whale who arbitrages for a living (see: alameda research).

If you're a mere mortal? Fuck no, you don't get access to those back-end APIs for the big exchanges, fuck off.

I'd bet money that the biggest challenge this will face is once the dex is live - and pulling liquidity from the cexes in real volume - there's a possibility the liquidity providers (i.e. arbitrageurs) will get their API access pulled, because the cex wants their customers to go directly through the exchange to buy (it's higher fees if you buy as a retail customer as compared to an arb trader with sufficient volume to negotiate that fee structure).

I pray to GOD that you sold when we first had this exchange.

Please. Please tell me you managed to sell.

>> No.21872930

>>21872703
then again, when I think about it, there is precedent for the ability to trade via API on other apps - blockfolio implemented API-enabled trading on their app a while back, so maybe I'm blowing this out of proportion.

At any rate. the dex is basically backdooring every major cex by hooking to their API console to trade - which opens up a huge opportunity for arbitrage to become more efficient and open to the masses.

Honestly I'm excited for them to negotiate more API access to enable legit arbitrage between exchanges, all available to anyone with sufficient coding skills to find & manipulate the market opportunities.

Seriously though, one of the biggest complaint arbitrageurs have right now is 1) how to get access to fiat ramps so they can realize gains, and 2) how to manage transaction fees and block times when executing complex trades between cexes.

XSN solves for #2 by enabling near-instant, zero-slippage trades out of the cex and into another exchange, all via LN/Raiden which enables near-instant funding.

Listening to this conversation really opened my eyes to the life of an arbitrageur, and what an alpha opportunity it is to be able to interact instantly with an exchange, the way you can with the dex.
