It's not just their team or data lead, there are other key differences between them and their competitors. Even if Tesla isn't the first to bring autonomous robotaxis to market, they'll be the first to bring them into mass market because they can retroactively apply the technology to most of their fleet and pick up much more market share than an autonomous company that then has to make millions of autonomous vehicles from scratch.
