also you would need a massive battery array to store energy. people who do solar typically sell back to the power company when production exceeds demand and then net that against their draw from the power company when demand exceeds production (night time, cloudy weather, etc.) this isn't an option if you aren't connected to a grid.

You’re looking at land pretty Far East near the white tank mountains or further I think. You should look at land north of the i-17.
The land you want is near pine, or flagstaff, or strawberry, mounds park area, Prescott, that area. You get liveable summers, utilities are set up, and your land is still cheap with access to restaurants, schools, etc.

you see how there's a big ass sign that says "reserve"? that means other people can use the land. it might look like you have a lot of space but on the right summer day you might have never ending traffic out front and a line of campers out back.

they didn't build enough roads out west so everyone lives and/or plays on top of each other, it's so weird since they have so much space, the problem is they aren't using it efficiently.

Arizona is the biggest culprit of what you're looking at. It's called "urban sprawl". AZ is just very sprawled out. Look at Tempe, or just downtown phoenix for the city parts. West/northwest of Central and Washington moves from urban to suburban area, everything East of Tempe is absolutely the country side vibe, after you get past the eastern suburbs like Chandler and Mesa.

Western states are just enormous so most places never built upwards bc they could just get cheaper land next to that. Eventually cars showed up, nobody planned any of the cities to have transit, and you get enormous sprawling cities where you might live a 45 min drive from your job. It's pretty gross. PE = mgh, now assume some energy losses from pumping, estimate a height differential, then use the density of water to calculate the enormous volume of water you would need to store that much energy, and don't forget water evaporation losses. now calculate the cost of building all of this shit -- storage ponds or storage tanks, piping, pumps, control systems, etc.

I'm a poverty-tier retired boomer who lives in the Arizona high desert. Here's how some of this works:
>air conditioning
you gotta have a swamp cooler. Not ideal, but where I live it brings it down from 100-105 outside to 85-90 inside, in the depths of summer.
>water
you could get a well, but most people where I live pay a truck to deliver thousands of gallons of water to their house, which they store in a tank and pump into their house.
>Electricity
Solar and batteries are pretty effective when you aren't running an air conditioner. Also there are propane powered refrigerators.

Satellite or cell tethering.

you're doing this entirely wrong dude.
you are srsly going to buy American real estate?
big big big mistake. you can pickup beach front property in top shelf 1.5 world nations for around $100k and really amazing ones with pools for $325k USD
you should be focused on renouncing your US citizenship and going with Saint Kitts as your income/capital gains/and wealth tax solution bc its a tax haven. only tax there is a very small property tax.
sure you can live in Saint Kitts but its prone to major hurricanes so place your housing investment wisely higher up inland to be safer.

protip: http://nomadcapitalist.com
also search him on youtube

no one is saying you have to be an american and live under the most financially oppressive nation in the world.
so why are you?

hes the best resource ive found when it comes to offshore banking, 2nd citizenships and ultimately saving your more of your money legally.

the real redpill with finance in general is that nationalism has no place in it.
the concept of going where the laws benefit you financially is the highest IQ play you can make with your money.
additionally you can actually live better in some places than you can in the USA but we've been brainwashed by the media to believe america #1 and everywhere else is just savages.

and just a forewarning, he has a lot of applicants and he wont just help anyone.
he actually was the guy who helped Roger Ver get his St Kitts citizenship and renounce btw.

the absolute fastest method will nearly a 100% success rate are citizenship by investment programs in the Caribbean.
you can get these citizenships totally private and in the mail while not informing your native citizenship of your new 2nd citizenship.
St Kitts is probably the best of the bunch mostly because of how the islands are operated so its more livable than some of the others.
so you just mail them a heap of documents and a $150k donation to a govt fund wait 6 months and just like that you have a 2nd citizenship.

you go to renounce your US citizenship in Barbados, the US embassy there covers St. Kitts and the other islands.

Mexicans.

Yes, really.

>> No.21808412

>>21808350
yes. without renouncing your US citizenship you are legally required to pay US extortion rate taxes.
no matter what you do tho, under no circumstances say you have a networth over $2MM USD to anyone in the govt.
if you do, in order to renounce you will have to pay an "exit tax" - which literally is a tax on your total net worth (regardless of whether youve sold the assets or not).
as absurd and jewish as that sounds its literally what the US does.
you have to be entirely tax compliant for 5 years up to renouncing.

good luck, renouncing usually takes about a week at the embassy.

>> No.21808453

don't they take 'renounce' applicants, turn them upside down and shake them before letting them go anywhere tho? saf I would

>> No.21808496

>>21808453
well yea thats the exit tax in a nutshell.
a more lesser known fact about renouncing is that your name goes onto an FBI watch list after you do it.
and once youve renounced there isnt a method to gain back your US citizenship for the majority of most ppl, its only granted back under extreme circumstances and usually involves a massive amount of money and or social connections.

Hows it work moving to Portugal / Puerto Rico for 6months a year? Why do a lot of people say that will save you taxes? Don't you still have to pay US taxes?

>> No.21808751

>>21808631
i wouldnt go to those countries, i think Costa Rica (citizenship by investment $400k) one of the safer 1.5 world countries in South america and Uruguay (bankers haven but more expensive for total cost of living, still cheap compared to the US) are better bets.

if thru your own retardation the embassy requires an exit tax out of you (they wont unless youve fucked up somehow) then your only real option to save more money is to just expatriate. Henderson even recommends this bc the exit tax will absolutely destroy your networth. youre better off just continuing to pay US taxes at this point and live abroad. some countries when you have a 2nd citizenship in say st. kitts will allow you to open bank accounts (they wont if u show them US passport). once youve crossed this bridge theres a long list of ways to entirely hide your money offshore im sure you can figure this step of the makeit plan out on your own.

ideally youd want to renounce so you no longer have to pay US taxes, just make sure you dont trigger the exit tax conditions and you should be good. renouncing has been increasing year after year btw.
