rust is the language of the future, everyone I know who has used it coming from C++ has praised it highly. Very safety-focused so great for cryptography but not as autistic and inaccessible as haskell.

Some potentially massive news monero anons: Just read that WHM has 1000 new listings over the past 24 hours, which is about as active when WHM started gaining traction in March. With empire possibly being compromised, we are going to see some really big adoption because WHM is going to take its place. If empire does end up being an exit scam, this is going to be yuge.

white house market. They are a market that heavily endorses Monero, and their rise in popularity correlates with Monero's big rise in transactions this year.
https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/monero-transactions.html
Empire however is by far the largest market and while they have started adopting Monero, Bitcoin is still the main crypto of choice on there. If Empire does end up exit scamming, it will lead to a power vacuum and WHM will see a massive rise in usage.

yeah monero has the third largest dev team and they have routinely innovated every year.
last year they implemented random x, a new mining algo that effectively rendered asics useless.
this spring they implemented dandelion ++ which improved node privacy.
and in October CLSAG is coming, which will decrease trasnaction size and improve verification speed for nodes while keeping privacy features at the level that they are at now.

yeah, just like the dollar. that's why we call monero digital cash. It's the perfect form of internet money because we can mathematically prove a supply but you have no way of telling who holds what.

I fully support monero but this whole thread seems like a deliberate attempt to associate it with criminal activity.

>> No.21798014

>>21797644
Local cash (localmonero.co) is probably the easiest to get fiat. There's a couple DEXs that support Monero so you could convert to BTC or stablecoin for payments. It's worth pointing out that you wouldn't have to "send small amounts to a new wallet", the nature of Monero makes it so your wallet address and amount in it isn't world-visible in the first place.

Drug dealers use cash too anon, yet we don't demonize it for that. Surely you don't want your spending being tracked if we do move to a cashless society.

>> No.21798114

its 1984... privacy does NOT exist in this day and age.The feds have the technology to track down this coin.EVERY privacy coin is obsolete and utterly USELESS.You can ride the pumps and dumps go ahead but know in this day and age those coins wont last. If you see manipulation around your favorite coins ... will you be surprised if monero gets manipulated straight to 0? if been in this space for a while and everyone in their right mind knows not to buy into privacy coin meme. Boomer FUD. This article references a flaw fixed in 2017 that could effectively guess the real tx out of decoy txs 90% of the time, but without any proof. This also couldn't reveal the recipient, just the spender. In fact Monero didn't even require decoy tx at this time, now they require at least 4 per tx. Also this no longer applies to RingCT mined coins, which now account for 99% of transactions on the network.
