21780601 No.21780601 [Reply] [Original]

How would a staker and potential juror prove their 'expertise' in a field when being selected? The concept is interesting but the white paper just seemed..... amateurish.

Dunno about PNK, but in ANJ you back your decision by staking tokens. If you’re wrong you lose them so it has consequences.
I guess it’s similar for PNK.

This is correct but no one cares about ANJ copy pasta code of PNK. Pajeet shilling in force itt.

What? I don’t even have a big bag of ANJ to shill it. I was just answering OPs question.
Plus anyone who spends more than a day on /biz/ can tell who amongst PNK and ANJ team have hired an army to shill their product on biz while the other team tirelessly work on improving, was a no brainer decision for me and I’m sure many people who see through the filters can spot that.
Eitherways, I don’t have much expectations from any of them. These things require heavy adoptions which I can’t see anytime soon.

I was about to round my PNK stack to 1MM but...it looks like the magic carpet ride is over and what we have here is a rug pull.

>> No.21781180

>>21781105
Clearly when a coin is shilling, it has to be the team paying pajeet to do it. I mean look at LINK, it must've been the team behind the shilling on biz, right? NGMI.

>> No.21781188

>>21781114
It’s not a rug pull, the projects have potential but the current valuation compared to the adoption it currently has was way overboard.
Just look at it’s valuation for something that has so little cases and jurors, now compare it to a SaaS app with similar valuation. Traditional SaaS might have 10-100k recurring users on their platform to reach such a high valuation.

Fuck it, I’ll round it up anyway. Where do you see a bottom? That parabolic rise was insane. I went from 10kUSD in January to nearly 200kUSD on the 18th. It’s now at almost 100kUSD - fucking brutal but still up over 10x - not for long if it keeps up. Fuck me.

I don’t own any PNK to give you that advice, I’m simply saying fundamentally the project is overvalued compared to adoption.
When adoption sees a huge spike, I’ll be the first guy to DCA into these projects. Whichever survives.
The only reason I picked up ANJ was because it’s mcap is very low and it’s backed by Aragon/Draper, that’s it.
Is that the best hold I have? hardly.
I only bought enough for a single juror seat nothing more.

As it works now, it's self-selecting. Someone who overestimates their expertise will struggle to cast coherent votes, and will lose money. If they persist anyway, their stake will dwindle away and they will be less likely to be selected, until eventually they will fall below the minimum requirement.
However, one of the really exciting parts of kleros is the idea of proof of humanity and with it proof of identity. That is, you could use the arbitration system recursively to verify jurors' credentials. However, that isn't fully developed yet.

Proof of person whitelists, which is why the team has stated multiple times this is their next go-to. You'll see it first rolled out with linguo.
>person says they can translate french to english
>person has a profile with x eth staked to verify this
>ANYONE can challenge this assertion by creating a kleros case
>if a person does a shit job, they could bring up a case to reclaim the money in escrow, claiming the person they hired to translate can't actually speak the language
The system is self-verifying. There is a financial incentive to bust anyone who claims anything they can't back up with evidence.

To add to this, the kleros team uses the example of translations being public for a predetermined period of time, as chosen by the contractee.
>anon translates text to french
>other anons can read the french translation for a day/week/whatever, and also see the standard of translation required in the contract
>anyone who thinks it doesn't meet the standard can challenge the translation to claim the stake fo the person translating (if successful)
>if unsuccessful, the challenger loses their own stake

>I don’t own any PNK to give you that advice, I’m simply saying fundamentally the project is overvalued compared to adoption.
This project is in a very early stage and is still primarily a proof of concept. It doesn't really make sense to evaluate it on the basis of adoption when it's still in the oven.
