One way to think about it is like a token pegged to another so the contract doesn't function on it but it acts like an IOU while the actual token is locked while wrapped. This allows you to buy STA on a centralized exchange that doesnt want to have the burn function on. The burn happens outside of the CEX but you can buy STA and trade for it via wrapped STA on a CEX. There is no reason for the devs to do this unless another upcoming major exchange that was announced (top 5 possibly chinese) was not at minimum Kucoin in volume. After one CEX the others are easy with wrapped STA and with balancer as a candidate for coinbase thus means STA will become a top 25 coin by 12/2021 with tokens burned at over 45% per quarter (only 3x the current volume). So imagine that by 12/2021 if the integrative pools (think defi pools like yfi, ampl, etc) are active and the new exchanges are listed then the mcap is $750 mill similar to LEND or AAVE but the supply is now 43 mill, that makes the price a minimum of $17.44 by Christmas.
