I'm 18 y/o and have about $4000 to my name. I was wondering wether I should put $2000 into a home gym and the rest into crypto or stocks or just go all in into investing?

Spend less than $1k on fitness equipment. You won’t get super jacked but you can get a good, high functioning body with calisthenics. Look up the Navy SEAL BUD/S training regimen. Put the rest into investments.

You don't need a lot of equipment to exercise. Just get a kettle-bell and run.
Put the rest in chainlink, then you can just buy a fucking gym.

What is your living situation if you're in a position to get a home gym but you only have $4000? Do you actually have your own place? If not, don't even think of getting gym gear. Living at your parent's doesn't count unless you plan to live there forever (and they're fine with it). If you do have your own place at your age then you're already pretty well on the way to making it so just invest what you feel like and make sure not to fuck it up.

you can do a home gym for 1-2k ez and get basically everything you'd ever want. if you haven't been lifting long all you need is a cage, barbell, bench(adjustable), and a bit of weights and you have plenty of time to add on later with the first addition being a pullup bar if you cant get a cage tall enough to accommodate it to begin with. that by itself is like 1k.

the other thing to consider is you're 18 and probably retarded so put the rest in bitcoin/eth 50/50 and ignore it until you're not completely retarded at around age 25, if you're lucky your 25 year old less retarded self will conclude to let it ride until you're a 30 year old boomer and even less retarded at that point.

This is the correct answer.

Bench, pull-up bar, good dumbbells and a quality rowing machine will carry you to your fitness goals.

Rollers are good, but beyond that I highly, highly recommend getting into a regular stretch routine. Morning and night. Like brushing your teeth, if you don't do it, your tight muscles will eventually lead to all sorts of fucked up issues. Thats no joke, take it seriously. Stretching can take <5 minutes and save you some really nasty long-term injuries. Do it.

Cop power rack, barbell and plates. Pick up a cheap bench too. Master the following: pull ups, squats, deadlifts, bench press, and overhead press. Check out Starting Strength by Rippetoe, and Power to the People by Pavel Tsatsouline for excellent no frills programming. Both of these manuals can be had as pdfs for free online.

Before you start investing start an emergency fund. Once that's established, use the rest to buy into projects you believe in.

>$2000 into a home gym.

A few jears ago, before the "pandemic," I got a home gym, bought a power rack for $250, 400lbs of oly weights for like $100 something, 200lbs of dumbells for $80. Didn't use the dumbass bells so I sold them for $1200 last april LMAO. Those useless hunks of metal were literally a 10 bagger.

>> No.21691799

>>21688339
when I was 18 I built a complete home gym for about $800 aud. I recommend you look into a decent power rack that has attachments (pulleys, dip bars etc.). As for the weights, try and buy second hand. Right now might not be the time to buy, as the prices on all equipment is inflated due to supply shortage/covid tax. get fit and fuck bitches anon. don't listen to any beta shit about being urself and being nice to get wimmen. They all want the same thing, the guy that looks like he can rip someones face off. don't use roids unless you want small pepe and baldness.

You don't need a home gym. Just buy a young calf and carry it around with you every day for a few hours. It'll get bigger as it grows, you'll get stronger as you carry it, and by the end you can just trade it for a fuckload of steaks.

Get a set of adjustable dumbbells, a weight bench, a stability ball, and two pairs of high quality running shoes (fitted). Rotate three routines about every 3 months: full body, superset, and brosplit. Add calisthenics and bodyweight routines into off weeks (7 weeks on one routine, 1 week off). Focus on nutrition, personal development, and frugality.

Invest everything else in a diverse portfolio. Do your own research.

retard. you will never make it if you spend your investment money on useless shit that you will use for maybe 6 months then forget about.
if you want to do weights get a gym membership 10 bucks a week in two years it will cost the same as ur home gym and all that money you saved will be worth much more in your investment that you chose to buy, then take money out of that and buy ur gay gym. just remember, every dollar you dont put in your investment now you are cheating yourself out of 100$ in the future. thats how ive always looked at it
