I spent 6 goddamn years of my life getting a bachelor's degree in microbiology, and the only jobs in my fucking STATE for my degree pay less than fucking COSTCO!
Don't do college kids, all they do is shill false promises. I am a pretty good microbiologist, but it turns out that that degree isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
It's all lies. Every word they tell you in school. College does NOT guarantee a stable life. It doesn't even help with that.
I'm not saying they didn't teach me microbiology, I'm saying that knowing microbiology ain't worth shit.

Move to a city then. Microbiology pays a lot at medical research facilities. Besides, you're supposed to go to college for things that pay well and for things that you enjoy. It has to be a blend, or else you'll end up miserable.

I got my B.S in biology and started working a neuroscience lab for a prominent university making $12.00 less than 27k a year... now I’m an EMT and raked in 69k last year in the same exact area with a 6-month certification.. college is a fucking joke unless you plan on going to grad school immediate after. Yo college is not something that makes you money, the good ones teach you how to learn fast, really fast. You have to apply that skill to novel technology and voila, you get upwards 120k out of college, if you are too dumb to start your own business. Op is dumb

My sympathies anon.
I did a biochem degree before going back for CS, and now CS is saturated too. The working class are crabs in a bucket on our way to the bottom.
Anyways, don't feel obligated to stick with what you study. I picked up a basic sales job for a tech company and make more $70k, more than many entry level devs now (the 100k starting salaries are a lie outside of the bay area). Now that you're done school, consider it a new horizon where you aren't obligated to be barricaded in a lab 5 hours/day anymore.

jesus fucking christ really? Im a tinbasher who installs steel flashing around the outsides of buildings, so basically a total blue collar construction job with very little barrier to entry. I get paid $29/hr with a $1-2/hour raise every year, and after I get my full red seal next year I immediately get bumped up to $37/hr (a red seal isn't really required for my job, but I get paid to go to school for it in the winter and it's a guaranteed raise).

How do these companies get away with paying guys like you with respectable degrees so little? That just seems criminal to me

I think the college bubble is unironically popping
It won't pop in truth until the normies/laggards figure out that college is empirically a bad value proposition and demand for university drops below the studentloan-inflated price floor, but damn if there's anything that this board is good at it's not necessarily being smart but being early

I am 19 years old.
Wanted to stop being a neet and find work to
save up money for college.

I went to a pretty good school in Gemany and my grades are average.

Applied to lots of promising career jobs that you dont need a degree for since you're learning for 3 years and get paid for working at the same time.

>Denied by all of them

Looks like I'll have to wagecuck.
Even if I save up money "better job" oppertunities won't come my ways since I wont be able to erase my wage cuck legacy and they will laugh at me.

Don't know what else to do though

This, women and retards going is part of why college is no longer a good value proposition.
If you fail anything more than a few classes, you should seriously reconsider whether or not the program is for you. Too many retards are brute forcing degrees with chegg; almost half of my second year CS class failed operating systems, which is basic shit.
People complain about student loans and increasing costs, but still pay $800/course just to never go to lecture and fail anyways.
