>>216163>says who?People on 4chan.People on bitcointalk.People on reddit.Apparently the market as well. The logo change would be trying out something new. It's an attempt.
>>216169>The logo change would be trying out something new. It's an attempt. Its happening in a snails pacenot sure why coin logo is the primary focus becuase not focusing on getting on more services/merchants is slowly killing the coin
>>216165I guess amDOGE is gonna cater to the requests of separating DOGE and PND threads.
>>216177long time coming since we were doing nothing productive neither for doge nor PND
>>216165You can focus on doge here as well but people like to complain that PND eats up the doge threads so this is just a reminder that it doesn't actually matter and it only gives trolls more room to act.>>216174>not sure why coin logo is the primary focusLet's just say the people currently closely supporting the coin want to have a change. I personally don't care about it.
>>216192>Let's just say the people currently closely supporting the coin want to have a change. I personally don't care about it.who is going to decide what will be the new logo?
>>216193>>214495
>>216204Yes. Time to move on.
>>216196so we are officially done with the coin change then?
>>216207good whats next?
>>216210BURGERCOIN
Faggot who is pumping the DOGE/PND you could have atleast announced it before hand asswipei am gonna lose a significant amount of PND
>>216213
>>216210I would like to have a discussion about pos, whether or not it's beneficial.
>>216232>poselaborate
>>216236Proof of stake. It eliminates the process of having to plug in your miner to mint the coins.
>>216238if its completely mining related then i cant help you
>>216238it's asic-proof. a proper proof of stake implementation may be difficult, i am not sure if it has been done yet.i'm currently mining some ghost coin to see how it works out. 80% of the coins would be created through PoS. this cuts down on energy costs dramatically, and also counters pump and dump mentalities. how that works out with purchases and stuff long term idk.it is most definitely worth researching and testing. if you want to put up a test net at somepoint i am willing to throw hashes at it.
So, no more DOGE here?
>>216240It's the holy war for miners. I've never mined a coin that goes pos before actually.>>216248>and also counters pump and dump mentalitiesWhich would be perfect for the cause. Hopefully.>>216259>>216192
>>216238>>216248Doesn't this just make the rich get richer?
>>216259>>216192
>>216232Implementing PoS into PND?Is that what your asking?Because it would be way too late to make that switch at this stage. You would need to totally relaunch PND to go PoS.Anything else would just be seen as adding bells and whistles. Also the market is kinda getting saturated with PoS coins right now. Adding another won't gain you any favours. Also unrelated to PoS but how easy would it be to fork to something other than pure scrypt while maintaining the current blockchain?
>>216263>Doesn't this just make the rich get richer?PoS benefits those who get in early or mid-term and hold for long term. you cannot just throw hashes at it mid to long-term.it will be tricky to balance the PoW/PoS ratio. i think a slow build up of block rewards, then a period of stability, then a slow decline to a level still above initial block rewards is good, with bonus blocks all along the way. [who doesn't like bonus blocks :D ]i am not sure if pure PoS at the end is a good thing or not. probably not. also need transaction fees that are destroyed to counter inflation, while leaving some room for a little inflation.
>>216269>Implementing PoS into PND?Yes, I'd just like to hear some opinions about it.Blatantly expressed and in an ideal scenario it would create more bagholders.Obviously it would be a huge flag which might create suspicion. >how easy would it be to fork to something other than pure scrypt while maintaining the current blockchain? As long as you can target a block then it shouldn't be a problem, as with kgw. I'm sure there are many coins that have been through that.
>>216287I'm against it because it seems like it will turn PND into some sort of investment rather than a currency.
>PND
>>216287>in an ideal scenario it would create more bagholders. Is your english failing?Or just my understanding?
So who managed to stock up on Octo before the block reward fell to 88?I only managed to mine 2000
>>216287i don't think we could just add it to pnd... i don't think this style and quantity of coins is good for PoS. massive changes like that do not inspire confidence, as you could implement further drastic changes at any point.clone and testnet for a few people, see how it goes.
>>216287Of course implement PoS go- I mean ally :^)Who doesn't want to get more shekels?

>>216335Oh well that's good.Logo change is good imo. Just to show we're doing something at least, can we just pick one and run with it.
>>216314We could make a multipool. that seems to be the running trend amongst altcoins....if we go that route then we certainly should implement PoS.>Am I being unclear? No i understand now.
>>216349>>216357pls respond
>>216363How does a multipool help PND? Do you mean making PND the common currency in the pool like blackcoin or whatever (almost everything I know about different coins is from these threads so forgive my ignorence).
>>216371Yeah pools pays out in PNDI want to do it more as a parody of the current trend.make PND the anti-shitcoin-shitcoin.
>>216371A mulipool would be run buy generating coins and then dumping them for pnd, creating a market for it on the way. It's like mining pnd, dumping it but in reverse.
>>216371Instead of mining PND we mine the most profitable coin and then convert that to PND.It fills sell orders and creates liquidity giving people more incentive to mine PND in the long term.
>>216379Holy shit that is an amazing idea
>>216376>and then dumping them for pndso the multipool acts like an exchange that pays out for altcoins in PND?
>>216384Basically. On the same side it will give the exchanged coin value simply by exchanging it.
>>216383seconding this, but i bet there's a flaw i'm not seeing. what is pnd paired with?
>>216375>>216376>>216379I like the idea except that it will hurt dogecoin (I don't give a crap about other shitcoins). How could we do this without hurting DOGE?
>>216401Mine anything but doge in the pool.
>>216401Make sure the PND pool doesn't mine doge.
>>216394either LTC or DOGE i would imagineLTC has a more stable price for PND so that would be better
>>216394BTC, LTC and DOGE.We'd likely have to go via BTC or LTC.
>>216406Okay, I'm sold. This seems a much cooler idea than pos. I'm not sure we will be able to get such a thing off the ground, but we might as well try imo. Any suggestions of what PND holders can do to get this off the ground?
>>216417>This seems a much cooler idea than pos.Or why not both. Basically remove the possibility to mine the coin freely and additionally give a pool that mines it indirectly while upping its value on the market.>Any suggestions of what PND holders can do to get this off the ground?Currently not much.
>>216428I'm down for bothThis would finally stop mindless dumping
>>216428I guess we can keep shilling, bumping the thread on BTCtalk, tipping.Basically keeping active and trying to get more people involved.
>>216437Of course.
>>216414>We'd likely have to go via BTC or LTC.well that's the end of that then...?
>>216469No.Mine shitcoin X, convert to LTC, convert to PND.
>>216475I still miss the idea of it becoming popular in China, since it would be the ultimate defeat of Wolong for our coin to actually accomplish his bullshit claims about his scamdacoin.
>>216492This seems to be out of reach right now.
>>216459Hey amDOGe, are you going to mine 10-5? It launches in 10 mins. I'm going to dump mine on the exchange straight away.
>>216492I think the wolong story is a flash in the pan.probably less than 500 people really know about it
>>216501Using vertminer seems like an awful idea.
>>216492There's no reason we can't keep trying to drum up interest in China. It'll be difficult though. The multipool was just another idea. If anything this would help, if we can get some buy orders back and increase volume it will be 100x easier to get some Chinese investors on board.
For a multipool to work, would we have to get sha asic miners on board? How common are sha coins based coins?
>>216346
>>216547Could run a Scrypt only multipool?
>>216558How many scrypt based coins are profitable to mine right now? People seemed to be implying as of late that the whole altcoin world is in freefall
>>216560There are several ones that still have a market that you can dump on for PND. That's all you really need TBH.
>>216568I'm guessing this pool would have to get off the ground before scrypt asics appear (assuming they're not myth), or do you think a new hashing algorithm will start to be used for coins to keep the mining non-specialized?
>>216591Well there's Scrypt-N and Jane.Profitable ASICs are still quite some time away.
>>216591Technically the multipool can support both scrypt and nscrypt coins. If the scrypt market gets raped by asics (they will be) coin devs and gpu miners will switch to nscrypt.
>>216602What if the ASIC buyers are all organized crime and they kill us for making their purchases worthless? I don't want to die.
>>216554>use traditional chinese coinage design>with panda somewhere>let me find a pic for you>i am chinese background FYI>traditional coins are chained in the middle with a square hole>those are more copper/bronze type>represent currency>so you can have a design with panda coin in chinese characters>right, but think about this>BTC is doing well>LTC is doing well>they are timeless>their design just means money>a very simple logo>you want to appeal to chinese and want them to think this is a coin>you need reference to something culturally engrained>you can also have something like>the coin designed on the google i referenced, and have ?? from left to right, or top down>and have money symbol on the other side>as separator>you can have panda in the background>but in all honesty, i have not seen a decent simple design>among the alt space
>>216560Everything's profitable, but wheras I used to make $30/day, I'm now making $10. At least I doubled my investment.
All the multipools are approaching singularity. It doesn't matter if you mine PND, Doge, Litecoin, or anything else. They are all the same profits now.

>>216832It means you'll need to have to hold more bags.
>>216832It means you have set up a very low auto payout on your pool, as a result your coins are held in very small chunks in your wallet. If you need to spend a large amount, the transaction will need to include many of these small inputs and thus take a lot of space, hence the high fee.
>>216766
>PND>no buyers at 1 satoshi>people still mining itJesus Christ, why?

>>216958There is no demand. None. And there is no reason for there to be any demand. It's a coin that's disappeaered from the sight of everyone but a select few /biz/ posters. Things don't magically gain value.
>>216966Right now there isn't.
I'm guessing amDoge is diverting a portion of bamboohouse hashing power at another coin and raking in profit. There is no reason whatsoever to mine PND right now.
>>216966That just makes it the perfect time to buy.
>>216977yeah difficulty is way too high.
>>216971I'd live for you to articulate a scenario where this coin does anything at all. Everyone's forgotten about it, it only experienced ephemeral popularity due to the anti-Wolong backlash, you cannot buy a single thing with it, and you can't even trade it for BTC.You act as though something will suddenly create demand. If anything, the huge concentration of ownership in and of itself will prevent that. It's really no different than a premine or an IPO in terms of the effect: a very small number of people own a very large number of coins. That screams, "don't bother."PND couldn't be any more dead.
>>216990If you think it's dead then just don't post here. It's PND General now, you have no excuse anymore.

>>217941That's cute, you think altcoins still have a purpose.the shitcoin market has collapsed. Litecoin is now the gold standard yet again
>>217937they are overpriced.the altcoin community is well aware of what happened with bitcoin and asics. there's already sha-3, -jane, adaptive-n, proof of stake, and other things being developed. i'd hold off on current gen scrypt asics. next batch of maxwell gpus should be very interesting, and no doubt amd is paying attention and should be watched as well.amd/nvidia could start putting out pure mining cards and obliterate the asic manufacturers.
>>217943I'm also toying with the idea of buying a pure sha-256 asic also.
>>217942>altcoins are shit>altcoin is gold standard again
>>217945And as far as altcoins go litecoin isn't even a particularly good one.I mean i kinda see more value in something like quark than i do litecoin at this stage. Not that i'd touch quark right now, but only because i don't know enough about it.
>>217944i thought about pickin up one or a couple of the usb sha256 asics, just to jump on some newer coins. not worth it aside from a collector type aspect, ROI is shit. gpus can at least be resold for gaming or general purpose computing.
>>217948It was the first of the silent-long-premines, where the block reward halved extraordinarily quickly (by all compariative metrics) and everyone kept super quiet about the coin until it had halved enough and then shilled as hard as possibleit was also a CPU coin to keep the vast majority of scrypt miners out from mining it. Oh, CPU coin doesn't mean you can mine it on a CPU. what it means in reality is renting hashing power on cloud servers, who inevitably catch you and terminate everyones accountsit's shady as fuck
>>217950>i thought about pickin up one or a couple of the usb sha256 asicsYeah same. I wondered about trying to find a cheap used sha256 asic. But i'm not savvy enough about them to avoid buying a potential lemon.
>>217951>>it's shady as fuckThat seems to be the general agreement.I'm slightly interested in CPU only coins but i guess i maybe need to look elsewhere.>what it means in reality is renting hashing power on cloud servers, who inevitably catch you and terminate everyones accountsI saw people trying to mine doge using cloud servers back in december. To make things worse they tried to use fake credit card numbers to pay for them.
>>217956"CPU" only coins are almost without fail actually1. cloud hashing coins2. botnet mining coins
>>217957yeah i looked at a relatively unkown "cpu coin" the other day.Difficulty in the mid 100s.No exchanges.Kinda screams backroom antics.
>>217956If a PND multipool is actually made, it could be tiered no? GPU miners go after the most profitable scrypt and gpu friendly coins, cpu miners go after profitable cpu only coins, and any sha-256 ASIC owners can mine those coins (but I doubt they would join a pool).

>>218061No, its to get more miners and traders on boardif we can tell them why our coin is more profitable then they will put less resources elsewhere and more resources on our coin

>>218069whose balls?
>>218066i am a new trader actually and dont know mucha lot of people who are new to crypto and dont know what to mine and/or trade will probably need some info to understand why a particular coin would be more profitable than othersso if that can be explained a lot of eisting traders and miners could also get onbaord when they know why that coin is suitable for them too
>litecoin double payout on GHash.IO>have to remain under 25GH/s so we don't eat the fucking network>yuropoor time, people trying they're hardest to remain under 25GH/s>amerifats wake up>48GH/s >doing twice the work for the same amount of coins>buttfucking everyone else in the processFuck yeah America.

>>218074>a lot of people who are new to crypto and dont know what to mineA lot of people who are new to crypto just want to use the coins and when you start talking about mining, they get the impression that it's something necessary to use the coins and just quit because all the technical shit is way over their heads. The website needs to explain:>What is a cryptocurrency?>What advantages does cryptocurrency offer over muh credit card?>How can I easily buy cryptocurrency with muh credit card without unnecessary bullshit like going through a gazillion internet wallets? And only after everything else has been explained:>What is mining?
>>218116I've never actually managed to sucessfully solo mine a coin before.Something always goes wrong so without conventional pools or worst case a decent P2Pool setup I can't really mine something like that. Not that i'd want to.

Apparently there is a competent dev team working on a legit looking India coin. But just keep that a little secret for now.Like the other country coin we don't talk about here very often. No need for the wrong sorts of people to learn about these sorts of things too early :)
>>218419FantasticI understand completely and look forward to this coin
>>218419Is there a bitcointalk thread or some official site?
>>218426I understand about that other country coin but India coin? Alright.
>>218428Money is moneyAll the country coins can make you serious dosh if you get in early
>>218431Yes, I just can't find where to mine Indiacoin haha

>>218454Doge is probably a safe haven if your unsure of yourself on anything right now.>>218458Yup>>218459I'm a scotfag. Not looked to closely into it but keiser mentioned it.Something about a hotel offering to exchange scotcoins for coffee or whisky i forget.Knowing my luck i'd buy a whisky then throw a bitcoin at some random pleb.Thats what happened the last time i got drunk. If country coins really do as well as people believe then i might not do anything but claim my coins eventually.Might be the first ever coin i have no interest in mining/buying.
>>218451Link me nigga. Delete it after 5 minutes.
>>218474i was just curious what the hell would India Coin's selling point benot sure what kind of opinion i would have when i hear its specs/goals/motives

>>218480link please
>>218485probably.I think it's in the very early stages right now.But honestly why turn down some free money. If you understand the language you'll be a step up on us.The language barrier is making me struggle. It might be something i just make a note of and then prep to buy the shit out of it when it hits an exchange.

Remember the days when the DOGE threads hat 300 posts within 2-3 hours? This thread is open for 24 hours now.DOGE is dead.

>>218517Does that mean there are no DOGE threads at all?
>>218521Nah, there's a DOGE general on here, but this isn't it. You sound way too excited at that prospect though.
>>218510>Would a coin with a god on it be seen as awesome or blasphemous?could go either wayI would bet more on blasphemous if the creator was not a hindu and devout follower of that coinMy major concern is the coin being in a specific Indian language rather than English, thats a fucking stupid idea for a digital currencySo noones gonna give me a link to this coin?

gais if i add a second gpu on my spare pcie slot, does anyone know if there's a way i can use one gpu for mining and the other for general pc use? atm my 270x is churning out 470kh/s quite nicely, but the computer is utterly unusable with sgminer running. doable?
