Flare is delighted to announce that
@BitrueOfficial
will be supporting Flare’s utility fork of XRP by claiming and distributing Spark tokens to their XRP customers when the fork takes place. https://flare.xyz/supporting-exchanges $XRP $Flare $Spark

I give it a few days maximum. This news will be common knowledge as CZ binance and all other top tier exchanges spam this across their social channels.

Expect nothing less than $.40c

I was wondering about this because I didn't quite understand how XRP holders were getting an airdrop if you have to swap the XRP to get FXRP .... now I think I get it, the SPARK token is separate from the FXRP and SPARK is the token you get when XRP forks correct?

And the one giving the loaning the sparks is pretty much given dividends. Loanee gets liquidity, loaner gets dividends.

and that's just the base system. They are throwing in a whole suite of decentralized smart oracles that will process payments for you

http://www.oracles.cloud/

Then there will be the ecosystem that ends up being built around the flare network, where you can have different localized rules of governance.

Plus you'll be able to collateralize other blockchain digital assets as well as it was designed to be completely interoperable with everything else

This thing is going to produce so much wealth that everyone will be prosperous, its going to be amazing to see really.

well coinbase did hold onto bitcoin cash when it forked and it took months for people to get a hold of it. Uphold.com will most likely honor it, bitrue has agreed. Otherwise it will pretty much just be a matter of waiting for whatever wallet you have to update to show it.

I just made it through and I feel more stupid now than I did prior.
I legitimately cannot understand through what mechanism this works.
Is it all through rippled?
Do I need to be a node operator or validator on the ledger?
Or will they just have some fancy ass UI that takes care of it on the back end and all I have to do is pool liquidity?
Please help me.

do not worry about it, they will make you an easy UI to work with. Its going to be normie-proof; it has to be to handle all the money.

Quant is jumping ship from ethereum and they are going to be doing the overledger OS/UI.
This is an example, this is a decentralized amazon sell page from like 2 years back. Its going to be much more polished.

Its a turing complete federated byzantine agreement network, the same as XRP. it comes to 80% consensus via validator nodes. You can be a validator if you want and if you hold XRP it would be in your best interest to, but its so secure you don't necessarily have to.

You'll probably log into a website with a PayID

https://payid.org/

You are going to want that for the future as well. You'll see how easy that is and they will ease you into the project as it develops.

This is a video where they use SBI Holding's S coin, which is powered by XRP. This is what real world adoption looks like. Sushi being paid for, and settled, in real time.

1. the XRP key is short compared to bitcoin and ethereum, so it makes it easier for computers to generate the same one. Of course, this is like quadrillion years worth of difference, but XRP keys are objectively less secure than ETH and BTC
2. if anything ever happens to your key, you are so fucked. If coinbase gets 1 or 2 wallets hacked, no biggy, they have hundreds of thousands. while you have just have 10
3. many of these paper wallet generator sites can be compromised. its impossible to know what method they are doing to generate the paper wallet, so it could be vulnerable especially since a paper wallet site comes from a centralized source. there have been many paper wallet sites for bitcoin that got compromised once a hacker figured out the generation method.

>buy a damn ledger
i bought 5 ledgers cause im rich fag. but, i simply dont trust them. i wrote the back up key, i generated the wallet address, and i couldnt do it. Something doesnt feel right by trusting a wallet you are 100% responsible for.
And i dont like how ledger has to update their interface. Very centralized.

>how are human errors going to be introduced into the keys?
anything that isnt as simple as pressing one big red button is liable for human errors. there is no official XRP wallet method with multi sigs that is simple as pressing a button
>how do you think the exchanges generated their keys?
i dont know, but the whole team of experts at coinbase are way more smarter than i am lol.

its funny, ive traded a lot of coins before, and XRP has the WORSE wallet situation of them all. Why are wallets handled by a 3rd party? Most crypto currency teams have an official wallet, but not Ripple.

a "wallet" is just a public/private key, that's literally all it is. it doesn't matter where the keys are stored, could be on paper, could be etched into metal, could be on your phone, or on an offline pc.

>pressing big red button
ripple has an official open-source javascript library that generates keys for you, this is how the exchanges generated their keys.
the method for generating keys is public knowledge, but it doesn't make the keys weak. banks would not trust a system that has weak keys.
it is literally one big red button you press, by running a javascript function called generateXAddress()

and this is a huge security hole.
if its just pseudo cold storage, theres no point, just use an exchange. You either give into the exchange or go all into cold storage. And i think its no coincidence there is more and more news about security vulnerabilities on the ledger nano coming out.

Also... i am against Ledger Nano by principle simply for the fact its the most shilled storage method by redditors

fair enough. but to allay your paranoia, the key generation is really like a big red button. i don't have the inclination to pick apart their code right now but I'm guessing it uses a random number and the time to generate the key, so an attacker would need to guess two extremely large numbers and the chances of that are safe enough for banks and exchanges to keep millions and billions secure
so there is that.

So boys, if it’s a ledger fork that means your xrp address is also your fxrp address. Shouldn’t be a problem to claim since all you’d have to do is authenticate a transaction. The real question is how will your fxrp balance be shown on a ledger or other wallet? Will we need to generate a wallet or update anything from the local end? I have a feeling we will need a specific fxrp wallet.

I think basically you will send Xrp to the flair system and they’ll treat the address like a smart contract. I don’t know, just speculating.
You hold xrp off line
Flair snapshots in q4
Claim process is setup
You setup fxrp wallet
You send 1xrp to a flair
Flair sees your Xrp address and knows you own it because you sent it
Flair drops your snapshotted to the new fxrp wallet

If you’re holding it in binance then binance will likely do that with their wallet and the distribute accordingly since they own those keys.
