Other than that, I didn't expect a sudden rugpull today like that but I think my strikes are healthy enough to survive one more red day. You can always use both (this stock will definitely snib snib crab..)

A good return on $6,000 on a weekly basis is.. whatever works out best for you. It all depends if you are risk averse or not. If you want to be extremely safe, I wouldn't be pushing it past 5%. I find that the megacaps like FAGMAN are best to write spreads on because of how they pull their own weight and generally lead the direction. This means that if you bet on them and you're right, you're less likely to get fucked by some other company doing something stupid, because they ARE the companies that would bring down others or bring others up with them.

So for beginners I recommend writing bullish put credit spreads for something ridiculous like 8-10% out of the money (IE. if Amazon is $3300, write a $3025/3020 put spread or something super low). And you want to write them the same week, I never really do 2 weeks out because of the current environment being so volatile.

that's a good plan if you know how to structure your DCA'ing and take profits. i've been getting into something similar although i do it with day trading mostly on tech stocks, especially AMD. more and more im thinking of just only taking the long side on 2+ SD dips with small position sizes so i can keep adding on the way down and then sell half at some arbitrary amount like 50 cents per share in profit. just scale in and scale out over and over again so im always collecting from the outside of the trading range and exiting on the mean reversions.

the key is to pay special attention to when shit like covid goes down so you can exit your positions and either switch to taking shorts or just wait it out. otherwise stocks really do only go up on good companies like AMD.

I have posted the link to that darkpool site on here a bunch of times. I used to try to use it. But it really doesn't correlate well with any sort of SPY outcome. It's too high level and summarizes too much to give you any predictive power, you loose too much of what is going on behind the scenes. Also the way the info is displayed doesn't really help you solve which is the chicken or the egg. I looked into it and you can pay out the ass to get usable data, but most anons couldn't afford it.

You really have to figure out how to research on your own, there is no one place you can go to find info. Just based on volatility calculations and past performance, Apple is relatively stable while Tesla is prone to large and sudden ups and downs.
