Silver has been $30 for over a week now, where have you been?

>> No.21586549

Insider here. Stop making people panic about inflation! There is no inflation. Just look at the CPI. The central banks are desperately trying to make it happen, and they can’t even get it to 2%. They’re worried about _deflation_,not _inflation_. This is why gold is starting to crash. America is the most powerful country in the world; that means that the Fed can print as much as it wants, forever, and simply export the inflation. Why would every other country in the world ever object to that? And soon Elon Musk is going to mine the asteroids, and dump tens of trillions of ounces of gold on the open market. And soon everyone is going to adopt BTC, which will go 100x and be the perfect currency, and make gold obsolete. And the government will only confiscate your gold anyway. Also; did you know that nine tenths of gold which comes out of the ground is filled with tungsten? It’s true. And the COMEX will keep manipulating the price of metals forever and ever and ever, until the end of time, and there’s nothing you can do about it, just like 2012, so buy Tesla before you get priced out. Besides, COMEX manipulation is a lunatic conspiracy theory anyway. And the V-shaped recovery is on the way, so don’t bet against America. And if everything did crash again, then gold would drop to $700 an ounce, because of deflation, as Harry Dent says, so get out and hold cash now. And silver is a worthless industrial metal, like tin or lead, and it’s going to crash down to $12 an ounce after this bear-market rally. And Austrian economics is outdated nonsense; extravagant spending and taking out debt is obviously the best way to build an economy. And we had to invade Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and Libya, to liberate the poor people living there. And the coronavirus is a deadly pandemic, so make sure to wear the damn mask and receive the damn vaccine, lest you kill grandmother.

Honestly there are so many people not deserving to make it. Every time this shit happens, (((they))) print hundreds of millions of paper ounces of silver and "sell" them there is simultaneously a huge sell off in miners. Like how many fucking times does this same pattern have to happen that you understand that if silver drops 0.5 USD in 10 minutes you should not be reacting to that shit by panic selling miners? Both are out of our capacity for God knows how long. The space industry is struggling to bring 2 astronauts and their lunch box in low orbit and mining the core is even more preposterous as we need to overcome 1000s of bar in pressure plus 5000k temperatures wich are akin to the surface of the sun. The space mining fud always get a laugh out of me because as surrealistic and stupid as it sounds, alot of my libtard friends would believe it without hesitation and they are the kind of nerds that are passionate about space. It's all wishful thinking and I learned that it has nothing to do with optimism but rather faith. Faith in their godless cult of progress.

It has a wider standard deviation than the stock market but like when shit hit that fan in 2008-9, my gold went up faster than my stocks recovered and if I was at retirement age that would have made a big difference. That said, if we get a big dip here our paper stocks will tank just like they always do and then maybe recover faster but the miners will get rekt. Just speaking from historical experience of getting my ass handed to me. I made out well in the end but the miners are very risky, the paper moves with the markets, the physical is a life-hold

For months, when the GSR was 1:125, we were hearing from people saying that it would plummet to 1:150, 1:200, or something laughable like that. People saying that only gold would go up from now on, and that silver was only an industrial metal, and as common as water, and deserving of its low price. America is controlled by the banks. If gold and silver reached true price-discovery, America could no longer buy the commodities of the rest of the world for worthless paper currency. It would actually have to make things for itself, and balance its budget. So long as gold and silver stay suppressed, America can treat the rest of the world like slaves. Bart Chilton said before he died that J. P. Morgan is doing this manipulation with the full consent of the U. S. government. See his interview with Chris Marcus.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n665orfBOqM

From our point of view, the suppression is wrong, because we want to see an end of big government, degenerate materialism, the perpetual enrichment of the top 1%, the collapsing economy, and the welfare-warfare state. We know that this financial system is a ponzi-scheme which inevitably has to collapse. But the people in power want to keep it going as long as they possibly can, even if that means that the catastrophe will only be so much worse.

It will take the destabilization of a major currency. The gold price already pumped quite a bit and we may even see some 2.2 if the Eurodollar hits 1.25 or so.

But for now the economy seems to be recovering and people will take gold investments once a path for dollar and market stabilization becomes clear. I think it will happen as no country, no company and no bank is interested in a collapse.

Should it happen we will see gold go five digits. But right now the risk seems minor so 2k is fair. Should you believe that it will happen 5k is indeed a bargain.

Just my amateur opinion. Some people say it should go to 1k and some say 15k EoY (which they say every year though).

This is possible, and the main risk I’m trying to figure out. If comex defaults on deliveries, will the government just step in and prop it up? Loan them the money to buy bullion at spot prices to fulfill orders? What about SLV- if comex defaults, will it literally go to zero? Or will the government prop it up, and liquidate the fund at whatever price it closes at? No one seems to know, so it’s a gamble. This is a shill argument and also a bit of a non argument.
I'll address it for the anons that have been fooled.
>St. Louis Fed: The characteristics of money are durability, portability, divisibility, uniformity, limited supply, and acceptability.
You are trusting the Federal Government, Treasury. and the Federal Reserve with maintaining a paper note that absolutely does not have a limited supply. We materialized 6T dollars somehow in a year. "Loans" they say. It's bullshit. Dollars also are being taken out of circulation to forward surveillance and control initiatives. We're moving to a fully digital monetary system where tangible dollars are not acceptable. Additionally, dollars can be censored. Alex Jones and 4chan are the biggest cases here. Dollars that are digital your hands are not always portable.
so at best in this crackpot post, Dollars are
>not limited in supply
>not always acceptable unless digital
>not always portable.
Dollars are a currency at best, and worthless at worst. So, cicling back...
>Gold in itself has the value of a rock.
Gold in itself has the value of a rock that can be used as money. Bitcoin has this property as well, but it has network risk. Gold's a fucking rock. it's not going to get fucked up by a solar flare or flood that knocks off half of the hashpower. It's main drawback is that it's not as portable and divisible. That's why we have currency, but holy shit, the currency is out of control. Always has to be pointed out that BTC is unusable as money. Couldn't service even 0.1% of the world population even with wide implementation of the LN. And the LN would track and trace everything you do. Four years ago, Mike Hearn called BTC a scam and left the project in disgust. Just as he predicted, when BTC got to $15,000, you had $100 fees and 3-day transaction times. The price collapsed 90% shortly thereafter.

Its very challenging to redenominate debt into a new currency. Typically the way it is done is by the bank activating the Payment due clause, assuming that you don't have the money to do it, and then extend you the ability to do it in a new currency.

Thanks. I haven't really looked into these more technical details for BTC's usability. I almost completely liquidated due to other risks. I still keep some, but really don't see it as a great possession right now. I'll wait until a bit before the next halvening to re-evaluate. this is truly trial by fire for the experiment.

That is it, you choose to believe. In 2016 we chose to believe that Donald Trump can win and bring upon the change we want to see, and the Universe bowed to our collective will. That's the secret they don't want you to know about, that's why they sacrifice children on Moloch's altar... and that's why they will lose.

I used to believe the conventional narrative that BTC was pure and got corrupted later. This made me sympathetic to projects like BCH, until I became convinced that Satoshi is Adam Back. So the banks and Blockstream didn't come in and capture and spoil BTC; they owned it all along. I know I point out this out a lot in these threads, but for me it often bears repeating.

Even if Satoshi isn't Adam Back, he was a miserable coward who ran way when his project needed him most.

Yes, the problems are exactly the same, if not worse. The memory-size is still capped, and the people in charge of BTC have stated, categorically, that that will never change. And as Hearn says in that article, the miners never dissent from Blockstream.
